One of our favourite Love Island moments of all time is when Josh Denzel returned from Casa Amor with Kaz Crossley on his arm during Love Island 2018, leaving Georgia Steel devastated. We felt sorry for Georgia, obvs, but in the immortal words of Pam Shipman, ‘it’s all the drama, Mick. I just love it.’
It’s fair to say that Georgia and Kaz didn’t have the smoothest of journeys from then on, with Kaz telling Closer that Georgia was ‘horrible’ to her shortly after leaving the villa, although it seems the pair have made amends since then after being spotted together at a number of influencer events.
Fast forward to the present day and Georgia’s had her say on Kaz’s return to the villa for All Stars 2025, admitting that her former love rival is ‘completely different’ this time around.
Speaking exclusively to Closer online, Georgia explained, ‘She's coming across very, very, very different.
‘When she did my series, she came in at Casa Amor, so people already had connections there, people already had friendships, people had already kind of given their presence to the show and felt very confident, had been there for a while.
‘When she came in at Casa Amor, she was maybe a bit more timid, maybe had a more of a gentle approach because she kind of wanted to find her place, whereas, because she's obviously been a first cast member this time, I feel she's been very confident from the get go. She's been very fiery, she's been very strong, so it's a very, very different personality.’
Kaz has had a tough couple of years after being detained in Dubai over a drug charge and suffering from alopecia and Georgia said that could have affected her outlook in the villa.
She continued, ‘I understand she's probably been through a lot in her personal life as well. I feel like maybe that's made her change in a way. I think she's coming across completely different, if I'm honest.’
Kaz’s All Stars journey has been turbulent to say the least, with Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu stealing Curtis Pritchard from her and that love triangle with Ronnie Vint and Elma Pazar. She’s now coupled up with Ron Hall, but Georgia has admitted she doesn’t think he’s the man for her.
‘I don't think they're a very compatible match, if I'm honest,’ she added. ‘But I definitely feel there could be people that could come in that would be more suited to her.’
Georgia was speaking to Closer online on behalf of Heart Bingo.
