Reality stars dating one another is always big news here at Closer online, but this Love Island x TOWIE crossover is 'stop the presses' stuff (if it were 1948 and not 2024, that is), so get ready to gag. We did on our morning coffee, FYI, so consider this fair warning.
Love Island: All Stars beauty Eve Gale – whose twin sister Jess recently split from momentary show boyfriend Callum Jones – has confirmed that she is dating none other that former TOWIE star and current House of Sims star Demi Sims.
The girls revealed the news on the second episode of Demi and Frankie Sims' new podcast, Sims Squared.
The sisters were joined by All Stars twins Jess and Eve and it took a whole 12 minutes for Demi to spill the beans that her and Eve recently went on a date, before making plans to go on a second date mid-podcast, btw. The girls also revealed that the budding romance has been a long time coming, with both confirming that they've actually been flirting in the DMs for years.
Demi confirmed, "Me and Eve went on a date last week for anyone watching and it was our first date, wasn't it?"
Eve said, "We kind of had other dates, but it's not been a date date. That was like our first date," before adding, "I had the best time."
We are obsessed and hats are already being looked at, girls.
Demi then stunned listeners by divulging, "We have been speaking for like three years," adding that they'd originally met at a Boohoo event in London shortly after lockdown.
Speaking of their first official date, Demi told listeners, "I was nervous [the date] was going to get awkward, you know because usually we've always got people around? I was thinking, 'Is there going to be any awkward silences?', then when I picked you up, you were chewing my ear off. I actually didn't get a word in.
"And then we got there, had a drink, had so much food...and yeah, it was quite a short date to be fair. It was quite a private date, though, because we were in Amazonico and we were in this booth and everyone was behind us."
Demi then added, "People assume we're besties, don't they?"
Eve then revealed that Demi is the only girl she would ever date, "I said this to Demi, I never would actually go on a date with another girl."
The last time Eve's dating life hit headlines was during her time in the Love Island: All Stars villa, when she became close to winter Love Island bombshell Casey O'Gorman. The pair were eventually dumped from the villa together following a row over dramz at the pink party; while Eve saw some longevity in the relationship, Casey revealed to then boys that he didn't feel the same way resulting in a ferocious balcony bust-up.
Meanwhile Demi, who in the past has dated the likes of Megan Barton Hanson and Francesca Farago, has been recently attached to Ex on the Beach star Chloe Veitch. She was linked to the Celebrity Ex on the Beach star when they were spotted looking cosy at the show’s launch party last month.
We should mention that the twins appeared on the Sims' podcast several weeks ago – as Jess confirmed that her and Callum were still together during the interview – so it's unclear how things stand in the here and now between Demi and Eve.
