Do we have another Love Island x TOWIE cross over on our hands? *Not another one*
Although Joey Essex is the first TOWIE star to stroll into the Love Island 2024 villa, he definitely isn't the first to swap between the two TV shows.
Both Olivia Attwood and Jack Fincham have made appearances in Brentwood, with Kady McDermott also rocking up in Essex when she dated Myles Barnett.
And now Love Island 2019 alumni, Chris Taylor, has been chatting about a TOWIE appearance and we're getting mixed messages.
"When we moved to Essex, ITV did come round and asked us if we wanted to go on TOWIE," Chris revealed to Closer and by 'we' he means him and Michael Griffiths, and just imagine the chaos those two would have caused together.
Chris can barely have a serious conversation at the best of times and we can't imagine Amber Turner or Junaid Ahmed responding well to being called 'chaldish.'
The duo were on season five of Love Island and since then have moved in together and spend their time making countless TikTok's and comedy skits.
"We were all in my garden and we ordered everyone a McDonalds," Chris continued because why the hell not? "Then they asked us if we wanted to go on TOWIE and we all decidedly said 'no'."
Boo.
"We didn’t think it was the best move and we also had our own show on MTV at the time," he went on referring to Destiny's Chaldish series they starred in alongside Danny Williams and Jordan Hames (also former Islanders).
"So, we thought that would be a better thing to do," Chris explained, "I don’t think at that stage it would have been the best move."
Which makes us think that they didn't want to go on TOWIE then, but maybe they will make appearance now. Right?
