How much do you spend per week?

I live with my mum and my two brothers, so around £150 to £200. We’re four adults under one roof, so it’s easy to spend that amount.

Describe your daily diet...

Breakfast is usually an omelette with spinach, tomatoes, peppers and spring onions. Lunch is a halloumi wrap with salad or soup. I’ll make something home-cooked and filling, like pasta, for dinner. I’ve recently cooked nice vegetarian meals, like a chickpea curry.

Holly gives Gaz a kiss on the penis

18-year-old Holly Hagan literally ran into the Geordie Shore house, excited to spend her teenage years exploring what the 'adult world' was really like and she really did get stuck in. It wasn't long into the first series before Gary Beadle had got out his penis, which Holly decided she wanted to kiss. Random, we know. Since then, Holly has dished the dirt on that encounter, after Gary said his penis resembled a "Sky remote control." Speaking to heat, she revealed, "It's not that big really."

Do you have any dietary requirements?

I have Type 1 diabetes so I have to inject insulin every day and prick my finger before every meal to check my blood sugar levels. You can have a normal life with diabetes, though. You can still go out and have fun, you just have to look after yourself.

What’s your takeaway treat?

In Teeside, we have chicken parmo, which is a flattened, breaded chicken breast with bechamel sauce and cheese on top, served with chips and garlic sauce. It’s high calorie, but a treat. I have to be careful with my sugar levels, but when I can, I also love eating pizza.

What would you cook to impress?

Bruschetta to start, then a beef teriyaki stir-fry as a main. I made it for my brother recently. It was delicious and full of flavour.

Is there anything you refuse to eat?

Mushrooms. It’s the look and the texture – they look like snails and are rubbery. I tried one once and it tasted like dirt.

The verdict

Nnutritionist Juliette Kellow says, “With Type 1 diabetes, it’s vital to watch blood sugar levels and follow diet advice given by healthcare teams. As Amelia is aware, a well-balanced diet is key. Her fridge has lots of food high in saturated fat, like bacon, butter, and cream, plus salty sauces like ketchup, pickle and mayo. For a healthy heart, she may want to limit these.”

Geordie Shore series 21 runs on Tuesdays from 28 July at 10pm on MTV.
