Life in the USA hasn’t been the American dream Coleen Rooney hoped it would be
Reports state that the WAG is keen on a move back to the UKas work on the family’s mega-mansion in Cheshire comes to an end, even though husband Wayne is contracted to play for Washington team DC United for another two years.
And while she had threatened to take the couple’s four sons – Kai, nine, Klay, six, Kit, three, and 15-month-old Cass – and move back without Wayne, it now seems he’s called her bluff.
“Coleen has made it clear she’s not really happy in Washington, and has been on at Wayne that she would be much happier in the UK. She really thought that after everything he’s put her through, he would come back with her,” our source tells us.

“Even though she said she’d take the boys back by herself if she had to, she was convinced Wayne wouldn’t let that happen.
"But now he’s told her to go back to England, if that’s what she wants, and he’ll stay and see out the remainder of his contract.
“She would love to move back with the boys and make their new place in Cheshire home, but she doesn’t trust Wayne enough to leave him on his own.”

Over the past two years, Coleen has had to endure many headlines about Wayne and other women. Most recently, in February, he had a ten-hour drinking session with a barmaid he’d just met, and – while Coleen was pregnant with Cass – Wayne was arrested for drink-driving as he drove home party girl Laura Simpson, who he’d met at a bar.
Wayne was also arrested in December for public intoxication at an airport in the US. No wonder Coleen doesn’t want him in Washington alone.
“Coleen is miserable and feels trapped out there,” we’re told. “She feels as though she’s in a catch-22 situation, because Wayne is contractually obliged to stay, and he doesn’t want to break it.
"But, at the same time, she can’t imagine staying there until the end of this year, let alone until 2021.”
