She’s already gearing up for her eldest son Brooklyn Beckham’s lavish wedding next year – and now Victoria Beckham may have more nuptials to organise, as insiders reveal her younger son Romeo is planning to ask his girlfriend of two years, Mia Regan, to marry him.
A source close to the family says Romeo, 18, has told his parents, David and Victoria Beckham, that he is keen to propose to model Mia, also 18.
The source says, “Romeo’s head over heels for Mia. They’ve started looking at houses together and talking about the future.
“Watching Brooklyn pop the question and seeing how it further strengthened his bond with his fiancée Nicola Peltz – as well as the excitement building up to the wedding – has made Romeo want the same with Mia. He’s thinking about asking her on her birthday in November.”
The smitten teens recently enjoyed a camping weekend in Cornwall, weeks after sparking pregnancy rumours by posting an Instagram picture of Romeo tenderly holding Mia’s midriff.
The pair confirmed their romance in September 2019, and have since given Brooklyn, 21, and Nicola, 26 – who got engaged last July after eight months together – a run for their money in flaunting their relationship on social media.
And while Posh is said to be supportive of her son’s decision to make a life-long commitment, pals say the thought of two of her three sons simultaneously fleeing the nest to settle down is “bittersweet”.
The source says, “Vic is very fond of Mia, but the thought of Romeo leaving home to settle down and start a family of his own at the same time as Brooklyn makes her feel sad.
“While she loves seeing her sons so happy with women she adores, she feels like she’s losing two of her four children in a very short space of time.
“She’s so close to her boys, so having to go from being the main woman in their lives to playing second fiddle is a bitter pill to swallow.
“Romeo is also still very young and that sparks some concern, even though she and David were also young when they got married – he was 23, while she was 24. She’s assured her son she’ll support his decision if he feels it’s right, but has also asked him to give it time and enjoy being young and in love without the pressures and stress of marriage – especially one in the spotlight.”
Both boys officially still live at home with Victoria and David, although Brooklyn spent lockdown in New York with Nicola while Romeo splits his time between his parents’ house and Mia’s.
Following Brooklyn’s engagement, insiders revealed the fashionista’s apprehension over their tight family unit being disbanded, especially given his plans to settle down in the US.
And with those anxieties further fuelled amid Romeo’s plans to propose, friends say Posh’s husband David, 46 – with whom she also shares Cruz, 16, and Harper, nine – has been trying to ease her concerns.

The UK Wags - where are they now? - slider
Victoria Beckham
One half of the indestructible Beckham brand, Victoria was the original Queen WAG in 2006. At the time Victoria had been married to David for seven years and had just given birth to her third boy, Cruz. She had also just launched her denim line, dvb Style and walked the catwalk for Roberto Cavalli. Over a decade later, she is a fully fledged and well respected fashion designer, with a fourth addition to her brood – the adorable Harper.
Coleen Rooney
Coleen rose to fame as a WAG at just 20 years old. Coleen and Wayne are married and they celebrated their ten-year anniversary in 2018. However, Wayne's repeated cheating has strained the relationship over the years. They have four children together, Kai, Klay, Kit and Cass. Since 2006 Coleen has released a fitness DVD, been a style advisor for Littlewoods and even had a column with us in Closer magazine.
Cheryl
How could we forget Cheryl as a WAG? Back then, 23-year-old Cheryl was a popstar in Girls Aloud who had just married Ashley Cole. Nowadays, Cheryl is a household name and a worldwide celebrity in her own right. After splitting from Ashley in 2010, she had a successful (well, successful-ish) solo career, was a judge on The X Factor and was the face of beauty brand L'Oreal. She married Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini in 2016 but they divorced three months later. Most recently, Cheryl separated from One Direction singer, Liam Payne, who she has a baby son called Bearwith.
Abbey Clancy
Abbey first grabbed our attention in 2006 as one of the finalists in Britain's Next Top Model. She began dating Peter Crouch that same year and the pair are now married with three kids Sophia Ruby, Liberty Rose and baby Johnny. Lingerie model Abbey went on to win Strictly Come Dancing in 2013 and she returned to Britain's Next Top Model as the show's presenter. Not bad work, eh?
Danielle Lloyd
Danielle Lloyd was dating footballer Teddy Sheringham when she gained her WAG status. At the time, her title as Miss Great Britain was a controversial matter and she was later stripped of it. Fast forward to now and Danielle has appeared on TV shows such as Celebrity Big Brother, Total Wipeout, The Weakest Link and even Come Dine With Me. She has three sons, Archie, Harry and George with her now ex-husband Jamie O'Hara. Danielle gave birth to a fourth child with her husband Michael O'Neill, Ronnie, in 2017.
Elen Rivas
Elen Rivas was engaged to Frank Lampard at the time of the 2006 World Cup, and was a permanent fixture in the WAG circle. After splitting from Frank after a seven-year relationship, she dated Peter Andre, appeared on Dancing On Ice and now looks after her two daughters Luna and Isla while working as a model. Frank has since married TV presenter Christine Bleakley and they've welcomed their daughter Patricia into the world.
Louise Owen
Despite being married to one of the most famous footballers at the time, Louise Owen wasn't your stereotype WAG. She has always managed to keep her distance from the limelight. Her passion is rescuing race horses and she currently lives in Wales with her husband Michael and their four children, Gemma, James, Jessica and Emily.
Carly Zucker
Now known as Carly Cole after marrying midfielder Joe Cole in Chelsea in 2009, Carly loved to party during the 2006 World Cup (we know the feeling). She then spent two weeks in the jungle during I'm A Celeb in 2009 before being the third to be booted out. Carly and Joe have had three children, Ruby, Harrison and Max together.
Alex Curran
Former nail technician Alex Curran began dating Liverpool player Steven Gerrard in 2002. She was one of the leading figures in the 2006 WAG squad. The pair married in 2007 and they have had four children together, Lexie, Lio, Lord, Lilly-Ella. Fashion lover Alex has released a perfume, fronted a Lipsy campaign and written a weekly shopping column for a national newspaper.
The source says, “David has assured Vic she’s not losing her sons, but gaining two daughters, as she is very close to both Mia and Nicola. Instead of worrying, he’s encouraging her to focus on their family unit growing and remaining as close as ever.
“Vic knows that David is right and, ultimately, all she ever wants is for her children to be content, so she joked that, as long as they give her lots of grandchildren, she’ll be happy!”
Mia – who is currently the face of French fashion house Balmain – has sported many designs from Victoria’s fashion collection, as well as being a muse for her latest beauty line. Meanwhile, Vic is said to be designing Nicola’s dress for her wedding to Brooklyn next year.

While Nicola comes from a high-profile family and is heiress to her father Nelson Peltz’s £1.2bn fortune, Mia comes from a more humble background. She grew up in a quiet village in Bath, where her parents still live, and was relatively unknown before sparking a romance with the Beckhams’ second-eldest son after meeting through the modelling world.
Both girls are family-focused, however, and sources reveal Posh is hoping that they start trying for their own soon.
The source says, “Romeo is still young, but he’s mature for his age. He comes from a close-knit family and wants that for himself. Vic has joked he could even be a dad before Brooklyn.
“While that means her boys will, of course, fly her nest to build their own, she can’t wait for their clan to expand and for her and David to be doting grandparents. Until then, though, she is happy watching her babies grow up – and is excited at the prospect of two weddings, especially considering it will be so nice to celebrate after such a miserable time during the pandemic.”
