She’s been open about wanting to expand her family of three, and as she embraces life in Australia, fans are hoping Charlotte Crosby might share the good news sooner rather than later.
Having shot to fame on Geordie Shore, Charlotte, 33, is currently in Cairns, Queensland, to film the upcoming spin-off, Aussie Shore. Now a mum, having welcomed her daughter Alba in October 2022, Charlotte’s latest reality TV stint will likely look a little different from when she made her debut on Geordie Shore back in 2011. No longer one of the party-going housemates, Charlotte will instead be “House Boss”, helping the 10 fresh-faced Australian singletons cope with the highs and lows of living, working and partying together.
Over her five years on the show, Charlotte navigated a rocky on/off relationship with her co-star, Newcastle-based Lothario, Gaz Beadle, from 2011. The pair eventually split in 2016 when Gaz, 36, cheated with reality star Jemma Lucy as they both filmed Ex On The Beach, while Charlotte was recovering from a painful ectopic pregnancy. Following their relationship, she went on to date fellow reality stars Joshua Ritchie and Stephen Bear, but both ended in heartbreak.
Now, however, Charlotte is loved-up with fiancé Jake Ankers, with the businessman and their daughter Alba, one, joining her in Australia.
An insider tells Closer, “Charlotte is in Australia for filming, so Jake and Alba are with her as she couldn’t be separated from them for a whole month to work on the other side of the world.”
Jake, 32, and Charlotte originally met at a New Year’s Eve party in 2015, but didn’t begin dating until 2021. Then, after two years together, Jake proposed to Charlotte – who had already found fame down under having starred on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here Australia in 2020 and The Masked Singer Australia in 2023 – when the pair were on holiday in Dubai in November 2023.
Yet, in a recent chat with Closer, Charlotte made it clear that the wedding wouldn’t be happening any time soon.
She admitted, “I’m the kind of person who wants a long engagement. I’m not going to rush into a wedding or anything. We’re going to probably try to aim for like 2026/2027. We’d like to have another baby beforehand. We’re currently trying.
“There will be two flower girls. Our two little girls as flower girls – I really want another girl!”
Despite not yet starting planning her wedding, Charlotte has already confirmed that her Geordie Shore co-stars, Holly Hagan and Sophie Kasaei, will be serving as bridesmaids at the – likely extravagant – ceremony.
As well as the upcoming series of Aussie Shore, it’s clear that Charlotte has also been working hard on her fitness app, Blitz ‘N’ Burn With Charlotte Crosby, after photos were released of her rocking a white bikini while enjoying a day at the beach.
Our source confirms, “Charlotte keeps in shape using her app at every opportunity and has been doing The Combat Crazy Challenge while working over in Cairns.”
The reality star has been open about her struggles with her weight over the years, particularly since welcoming Alba. She previously told Closer, “I didn’t feel a pressure to lose weight after giving birth, but I did feel very uncomfortable for a long time because I was obviously a lot bigger and my body had changed and I was going through all of the hormones you go through when you first have a baby.
“And I was going to do photo shoots and it just didn't feel nice. It didn’t feel nice at all.”
She continued, “I liked my growing body when I was pregnant. But when Alba was born and the pregnant belly was gone, it was just flobbery!”
Speaking about her workout routine, Charlotte admitted, “This is such an unpopular opinion, but I love burpees. I am the burpees queen. I can do like 20 or 30 burpees – high pace, high intensity just boom, boom, boom, and I won’t slow down.
“I go hard on every element of fitness now, from the workouts to the mental side of things, like making sure that I get plenty of fresh air.”
And when she eventually comes back to the UK with her family after filming, Charlotte is likely in for a busy few months – even if she doesn’t fall pregnant.
