Sometimes, all you want to do is meet up with your pals and have a good old pamper session. We're talking manicures, we're talking facials - you know the drill.

But, thanks to the 'rona, we haven't been able to do that in what feels like a lifetime and, to be honest, our self care is a bit out of sorts. Seriously, what is the point in doing a foot scrub if I can't have a gossip with my gals while I'm going it?

Well, reader, we had been on the same page (lockdown had us in full hibernation) but, now that restrictions are slowly easing, it's looking like we might need to crack out some of the essentials.

From foot files to emery boards, face masks to body scrubs, we've pulled together all our fave bits for the ultimate pampering day. Whether it's a gift to you (which, we are 100 per cent here for) or a gift for a pal on the other end of the phone, there's something for everyone in there.

Our recommendation? Get a pamper set for you and a friend, and have a virtual pamper hang out over Zoom. Get your self care on, ladies.

The Body Shop's Spa of The World range just screams indulgence and, to be quite honest, after the year we've all had, we could all do with a bit of that in our lives. Some pampering ideas for lockdown 3.0 from yours truly...

1. Do a hair mask

We may not be able to go to the hairdresser's (cry) but that doesn't mean your locks have to pay the price. Why not try a hair mask for a hit of moisture and gloss this week. Your newly glowing tresses will thank you for it.

2. Try jade rolling

It may seem like a fad, but jade rolling can help de-puff your under eyes, improve product absorption and even help with acne. Plus, you can get one for less than a tenner.

3. Have a bath

Simple, but effective. Chances are, you simply aren't taking enough you time. And, for that matter, you probably need some screen-free time, too. Run a bath, crack out a body scrub (look out for essential oils - they're are great relaxant) and just CHILL. Enjoy the art of doing nothing, also known as Niksen.
