When Is Black Friday 2024?

Black Friday 2024 will land on Friday 29 November, and it's an ideal excuse to grab those last-minute Christmas presents, stocking fillers and beauty staples. There will be vacuum cleaner deals on Black Friday again in 2024, so keep an eye out when November comes back around.

What is the best vacuum cleaner to buy?

If we had to pick, then Team Closer would definitely go for either Dyson or a surprise pick - Miele. Dyson, although a little more expensive, is a classic brand whose products never let you down. A Dyson vacuum will last you years, and if you want to save a little money, buying a refurbished model on eBay is nearly the same as buying one new.

Our unexpected runner-up, however, is Miele. Lesser known in the vacuum world, in comparison to the big names of Dyson, Shark and Henry, Miele machines have incredible power and suction abilities. We have members of the Closer team who swear by their little Miele number. With washable filters and a hardy build, Miele will also last you a very long time. Plus, they come out a little cheaper than a Dyson.

What's the best month to buy a vacuum?

The best month to buy a vacuum is undoubtedly November, because of the pre-Christmas sales that come with it. For example, Black Friday (more on that later) and Cyber Monday are the biggest sales event of the year, both in-store and online. You can get incredible discounts off expensive vacuum models, that barely scrap the sides of your bank account.

Moreover, December is the second-best month to buy vacuums, because of the Boxing Day sales. These sales occur from the 26th of December until the New Year and allow brands to get rid of leftover stock - which means more savings for you.

Our top tips for shopping vacuum cleaner deals on Black Friday

Online shopping means you can grab the best bargains from the comfort of your sofa without any threat of elbows in the face. Black Friday will be flooding the internet with discounts on all day - often releasing new deals every few minutes.

Here are our top tips to get the most out of the discount extravaganza that is Black Friday...

Set up online accounts beforehand

The stressful part of Black Friday is normally reaching the checkout and having to go through a long process of sign-up forms, email verifications, and all that. So if you're serious about shopping, make sure you set up your online account in advance.

Organisation is key

Spend the week beforehand pinpointing an area that you really want to focus on. Whether it be a beauty treat or some swanky new garden furniture for the summer. Focus is everything! And try not to be distracted from what you're trying to buy.

Have a budget

Many of us are guilty of taking advantage of every single deal thrown our way, even if we don’t necessarily want or need what we’re buying. So, as well as being organised, having a budget and sticking to it is one way you'll see the most satisfaction from shopping on Black Friday.
