What is CC cream?

CC cream is a colour-correcting light coverage product that primes and conceals problem skin, as well as colour-correct uneven areas.

CC creams also tend to be less oily than some foundations and BB creams, making it perfect for people with oily skin. CC cream is also great for people with excess redness, sensitive skin and skin with blemishes.

What's the difference between CC and BB cream?

BB cream stands for 'beauty balm' and is basically a tinted moisturiser with added benefits like SPF or sometimes anti-ageing properties.

This product is all about light coverage, and so won't be as opaque as your trusty foundation. But if you're after light, breezy coverage for a barely-there make-up look, a BB cream is the product for you.

CC cream stands for 'colour correcting' or 'complexion correcting' and has a little more coverage than a classic BB cream. It's still lighter than foundation, but works better for people with an uneven skin tone or age spots.

What an earth is a DD cream?

The world of make-up never ceases to amaze us. DD cream stands for 'daily defence' and does it all, prime, protect and perfect.

It also has anti-ageing properties and reduces the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines over time. It's important to note that although a DD cream has all these glorious benefits, you still need to use a moisturiser underneath.

DD creams have a really sheer coverage that sits lightly on top of your moisturiser for a glowy, fresh look perfect for mature skin.
