Ah, winter is here. Our fluffy blankets have come out, we'll be making soups and casseroles every day and opening the windows is an absolute no-no. This winter is a little bit different though, with energy prices looming over us a little bit too heavily, we're hanging onto our cosy dressing gowns little bit tighter.

It doesn't have to be so scary though, with TikTok and social media opening our eyes to the top money-saving tips that we'll be noting down and studying very carefully right now. Heated clothes rails? We got you. Air fryers? At the ready. Don't even talk to us about leaving lamps on because we are NOT.

Now, if you're wondering how you can save a buck on your energy prices this winter (aren't we all?), don't panic. There are loads of simple but effective products you can add to your house so that you don't have to be worried about when your energy bill comes through.

How can I save more energy?

We all know how important it is right now to save as much money as possible. Whether that means switching on the heating only when absolutely necessary, changingvv out ovens and hobs for smart kitchen appliances, or investing in some smart plugs to keep an eye on your lamps and electronics, there are loads of things we can do.

Wondering where to begin? We've broken down all of our home products into simple categories so you can upgrade your home, room by room...

Tech: We've all come across smart tech in our lives before, but these tools can really help you cut down on energy usage through apps, voice control and setting up automated timers. Look towards smart plugs, automatic thermostats and smart lightbulbs to upgrade your lifestyle and really take control of your electronics. Want to keep an eye out for what you're using? Grab an energy monitor so that you know exactly what you're spending.

Kitchen: Kitchen appliances have us in a complete chokehold, but there's actually proof that investing in certain kitchen tools will save you money in the long run. Big appliances like air fryers and slow cookers use a lot less energy than your home oven and hob, whilst Salter's infamous egg cooker uses 91 per cent less energy than boiling eggs on the stove. Want to make your food go further? You can get a compost caddy to get started on naturally composting your food waste.

Home living: Of course, there are simple things you can invest in that won't cost too much, but will up your quality of life if you really can't afford bigger items (or just want a simple solution). Traditional hot water bottles and draught excluders will keep you warm in the colder months so you don't have to turn on the heating. But, if you do have to switch those radiators on, invest in radiator reflectors to make the most of the warmth. More modern warming solutions include electric blankets and heated clothes rails which mean you won't have to reach for your heating just to dry your clothes or be warm in bed.

With all this new information, there are some stand-out products that have really taken flight in this energy crisis and we (obviously) cannot help ourselves but shop them down. If you're looking for somewhere to begin your energy-saving lifestyle, we've found the best energy-efficient products that you can invest in right now. Just check out the best products below.
