We were devastated when Lauren quit the show before series nine. Her on / off friend Dawn Ward said: "Lauren has some personal stuff going on."Lauren's an amazing person, I am missing her to bits. I speak to her daily but she has other commitments at the minute that she needs to concentrate on."In January 2020 it was revealed that Lauren's back. Yaaas.

Christine went on to say that the film crew don’t actually follow the ladies all day like we assume from watching the show, which actually made her want to take part.

"Most importantly, I could fit it in around the children, just a couple of hours filming here and there," she admitted.

Christine also opened up about her struggles to socialise in her twenties due to responsibilities as a mum.

"It [The show] was local to where I lived and a chance for me to make friends and have some sort of a social and work life, which had been non-existent in my twenties," she said.

The former Housewife recently made the brave decision to announce her diagnosis of autism at the age of 33.

The star has always been open about the difficulties of parenting three young children with the condition. But now, for the first time, Christine has revealed that she too is living with autism. She said "I have been confirmed as autistic. It’s strange, but I’ve noticed there are little hints throughout my life that I’m autistic and more like my children than I ever could have imagined.

"My issues with food, my social struggles, how hard I find it to make friends and stay focused, and my indecisiveness. The way I float through life reminds me of how my eldest daughter Penelope is.

"It all makes sense now. And as much as I’m not totally surprised, it’s still been emotional for me to accept, but it’s a relief as well."

Writing in her autobiography, A Beautiful Nightmare, Christine continued, "It was a lot to take in and once my appointment was over, I broke down in floods of tears. I think it’s because the news conjured up a mixture of emotions and while I’m not totally shocked and it’s a relief, I’m just really sad for my younger self".
