The cast of The Real Housewives of Cheshire have finally returned to filming and here's what we know for certain, so far: series 16 is going to bring some SERIOUS dramz, as well as some downright "disgusting" scenes to our screens later this year – at least according to living legend Lystra Adams.
We love the RHOCheshire's Lystra more than Fridays and we can say that with confidence because today is Friday, and we're sorry, Best Day of the Week, but our heads will not turn for you.
The Housewife has been giving us life since the moment she joined the ITVBe series in 2020 and her behaviour on screen has been nothing short of iconic since.
Lystra fans will already know that the Cheshire icon is eternally sporting some SERIOUS nail art – actually, the word nails don't do them justice, let's go with bejewelled talons. They're SO fabulous, but utterly impractical, that we're often left wondering, 'How does Lystra do basic human things?' Then we remember she's a Cheshire Housewife and therefore doesn't need to. Fabulous all the way...
Shatter that illusion because ITVBe just made Lystra use a portable toilet in the middle of the woods in the name of reality telly.
We can't imagine being able to write with these claws, let alone use a portable toilet, here we are...
This week we received filmed proof that Lystra is TRULY a down-to-earth, expert talon wielder, so much so that she can put them to use in even the most "disgusting" filming scenarios.
On Thursday 2 February, Lystra, Lauren Simon and Sheena Lynch were filming scenes for the RHOCheshire in what Sheena referred to as the "Blair Witch woods". We don't know why these glam city girls have been thrown into the country and we certainly don't know why Lauren of all people was off-road driving, but we're here for the content.
Filming such scenes on location naturally requires certain provisions to be made – like toilets. Like PORTABLE TOILETS when you're filming in the middle of nowhere. And yep, the equally iconic Lauren filmed Lystra – and her nails – using a "disgusting" portable toilet during filming for series 16 and frankly, she's just far too fabulous for such treatment. Come on, ITV.
Prior to Lystra using the facilities, Lauren gave her hundreds of thousands of Instagram fans a tour of the, erm, cast and crew loo, saying, "It absolutely f*cking reeks", and then films Lystra going in for an emergency wee.
On Lystra's Instagram story, she told her fans, "Oh my god, I had to go in a f*cking portable loo. Oh my god, it's disgusting."
She then added, "This is why I do not go to festivals."
Lystra's confession comes after Rachel Lugo's lashgate that involved a drink getting chucked in her face and her eyelashes hanging off.
