Another year, another series of Love Island done and dusted.
As Jess Harding and Sammy Root were crowned queen and king of Love Island 2023, it had us wondering about all those contestants that had a short and not so sweet stay in the Spanish (or South African) villa.
Last year saw Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu and Davide Sanclimenti win the show and if you remember correctly Ekin-Su entered the villa as a bombshell alongside another, Afia Tonkmor.
Afia was only part of the Love Island 2022 cast for five days as she failed to make any romantic connections with any of her fellow Islanders and was booted off.
Once her time in the villa was over, the London-born lounge host shared a few cute pics and posts on her social media before disappearing off the face of the Earth in October 2022.
Okay, so a tad dramatic, as we're sure Afia's pals have been in contact with the former Islander but her social media presence has been non-existent. Until now.
After a ten-month hiatus, Afia posted a stunning photo of her at a boujie looking restaurant and added the caption, "Minding Mine ✨"
And it seems Afia's followers sure are glad their girl is back, with one writing, "Where were you gone??? I was worried" with another commenting, "😍😍😍 she’s back."
Not only has she shared this drop dead gorge pic on her grid, but Afia's been adding stories to her Instagram – apparently she is currently off living her best life in New York.

She opened up about what went down in the villa, when she was joined by Love Island 2019 star Anna Vakili, during an exclusive interview with Closer last year.
When asked what the food was like on the show Afia said, "Everyone acted like I was diseased in there when I said I was vegan.”
Anna responded, “Really? Our series had loads of vegans and vegetarians”, to which Afia said, “I was in the wrong series, they were joking about my food.
"Everyday it came with this little special container, by itself, with my food allergies as well. It was so awkward.”
She added, "The food was really good, they catered to me so well. I’m allergic to fish and nuts and they kept it separate.”
Anna then revealed that the Islanders got McDonald's once a week, telling us, "That was pretty much my favourite time of the week. But other than that it was just basic food really.
"I wouldn’t say it was amazing, but I wouldn’t say it was sh*t, it was just basic."
