Love Island 2022 reunion: when is it and what can we expect?

The #dramz is far from over

Ekin Su Davide final

How are we doing this morning? No, really.

The day after the Love Island final is never an easy one (it's like the first day back to work after a lush holibobs) and, if you're struggling, know that we're right there with you.

It's hard to remember how we spent our evenings before our nightly dose of Love Island and Just Eat deliveries, but we survived then and we'll survive now, especially considering Winter Love Island is just around the corner - yes, long gone are the painstaking year-long waits for more Love Island. And, yes, this is us wishing summer away for a speedier Love Island return.

In all seriousness, try not to despair entirely, just yet, for this year's Love Island series – which, let's face it, has returned the show to its former stature – isn't actually over; ITV2 still owes us one juicy reunion episode and they plan to pay up. But when is the Love Island 2022 reunion episode and what can we expect?

What can we expect from the Love Island 2022 reunion episode?

Well, first off, we're unlikely to witness some of the carnage we've witnessed at previous dramatic Love Island reunion shows and, on that, we're unlikely to get a whole hour of watching one couple whip up a Christmas dinner. That being said, we would watch Davide cook and dish up carbonara over the course of an entire reunion episode and write a glowing piece about it, ITV - in case you're reading this. Perhaps you'd like to send him to our house Sunday night to cook up a feast for us ahead of the reunion episode? That would be nice, too.

Love Island rules and regulations get tighter and tighter every year – for the wellbeing of the Islanders – and of course, we respect that, but this is still Love Island, so no doubt this year's reunion will still be embossed with a certain level of #dramz.

What #dramz should we expect from this year's Love Island reunion?

Obviously, there's no way we can anticipate what will be revealed on this year's reunion episode, but we'll be keeping an eye out for a Paige and Jacques reunion, Jacques sharing his thoughts on Paige and Adam, Luca and Dami being grilled about their treatment of Tasha, an Ekin-Su/Davide confrontation with Casa Amor's George, an Andrew and Coco reconciliation moment and perhaps a Coco and Jazmine reconciliation/square-off.

If we were being greedy, we also wouldn't mind producers inviting Indiyah's mum back for another Dami grilling; we like our naughty Islanders well done.

What's known for certain is that virtually all of this year's Islanders will be in attendance, celebrity guests will be giving their two cents and, of course, the proceedings will be overseen by Laura Whitmore.

We can also guarantee we'll have a Just Eat takeaway on our lap (unless ITV2 come through with that Davide delivery); no, they're not sponsoring this article, we just love food we don't have to cook.

When is the Love Island 2022 reunion episode?

It's sooner than you think! The Love Island 2022 reunion episode is scheduled to air on ITV2 and ITV hub on Sunday 7 August 2022 and 9pm. The #dramz will conclude at 10.30pm.

That's when you can really start the mourning process, and again, we'll be right there with you.

Can I get tickets to the Love Island 2022 reunion?

You can apply for tickets to the reunion show at Elstree Studios in Hertfordshire via Applause Store. As far as we can tell, it's being filmed at 5.30pm on Thursday 4 August. You're welcome.

According to Applause Store, the reunion show "promises to be packed to the rafters with even more gossip direct from the Islanders themselves, exclusive interviews and a celebrity panel desperate to have their say on all things Love Island".
