Watch your back, TOWIE. After what has felt like 84 years, the Sims' new reality series, House of Sims has finally launched on OFTV. The first series was filmed late last year and was released via the streaming platform this week (well, episode one has dropped, but we'll take what we can get).

If you're a regular Closer reader, then you'll already know that the new reality series will follow former TOWIE stars Chloe Sims, Frankie Sims, Demi Sims, Charlie Sims and his fiancée Georgia Shults (who manages the sisters) as they uproot their lives and their celebrity status from Essex to LA.

The Closer online team decided that such an occasion deserved a celebration, so we held an intimate in-office viewing party over a cuppa and some cake, and it's safe to say we have thoughts; 11 to be precise.

The first episode is predictably a real scene-setter and a clear introduction of 'brand Sims' to an American audience, who are perhaps unfamiliar with the Essex-based family. So, for us hardcore Sims fans, it was essentially an hour-long home movie. But if we know this lot – and we really do – stateside #dramz is brewing, so we'll definitely be back next week, and the week after that, and the week after that etc.

The doors to the House of Sims have opened and we're not leaving until they physically remove us. Anyway, our 11 thoughts on ep one...

First off, we want to move into Chloe's floor-length 'Queen' puffer jacket.

Frankie Sims is all of us.

Frankie admits to not having a "concrete life plan". She just wants to date, cook and take up pole dancing in LA. Same.

Georgia and Charlie are minted.

They must be, because their Essex home was LAVISH. Charlie is an entrepreneur and business guru in charge of brand Sims and Georgia is a talent agent (she manages the Sims sisters).

Sometimes just a single glove.

Why hasn't Charlie met any of Georgia's family?

During a chat with Chloe, it was revealed that Charlie is yet to meet any of fiancée Georgia's family – despite the fact that they've been together for five years. Come again?

Georgia even said, "He doesn't actually know as much as he should know about me, I don't think."

Will we ACTUALLY be getting the drama this series?

Because right now we're comparing it to TOWIE #dramz and, sorry, lovelies, TOWIE has nothing to worry about, yet. To be fair, though, we're only on episode one and the fam has only just got to LA.

What's with all the pranking?

It seems to be a rather popular pastime in the House of Sims and we're not sure we get it.

Will Frankie Sims and Eyal Booker get together this series?

Hear us out... Frankie did say, "I've decided that I really like curly hair" and we know that Love Island 2018 star and family friend Eyal Booker will be keeping up with the... Sims this series. His hair is the curliest of them all and he's a geographically desirable option for the middle sister. Hmm...

Why does Chloe have so many brown sweaters?

One of her suitcases exclusively held brown sweaters. EXCLUSIVELY.

(OFTV)

Demi is all of us singletons trying to date in 2023.

Demi asking the model out was easily the standout scene of the debut episode. We can't wait to see Demi dive into the trials and tribulations of swiping right and left in Tinsel Town.

Who eats shellfish with ketchup?

The Sims do.
