She’s bravely shared her hopes to have a baby, and last week fans were quick to ask whether Gemma Collins’ dream has come true after the former TOWIE star posted a picture of herself wearing a gorgeous green dress at an event in Birmingham.
One fan wrote, “Amazing. Is there something cooking that we don’t know about Gem?” Another added, “Is that a little bump I see?”
In January, Gemma, 42, said she had started the year with a trip to Bethlehem, saying, “I did pray when I was there. I said, ‘Please God give me a baby this year’.”
She revealed in 2020 that she had suffered a miscarriage during lockdown, after previously losing a baby at four months in 2012, and having another miscarriage in her 20s.
The following year, Gemma – who is stepmum to her fiancé Rami Hawash’s five-year-old-son – shared that she and Rami were considering IVF treatment.
She said, “I’ve not been using any contraception. I can’t get pregnant so I’m going to have to be brave now and look into this myself.”
Gemma, who has PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome), previously told Closer, “I’m still positive that I’ll become a mum and I do hold on to this dream that I’ll be able to conceive naturally, and to be that mum with all the love that I’ve got to give.
“I’m never going to give up. So many amazing things have happened to me and I don’t think this
is the end of the road.”
However, although Gemma made her name in reality TV, starting in TOWIE followed by frankly iconic turns in I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! and Celebrity Big Brother, she doesn't envisage the same for her children.
“I think maybe when I have a baby, I will go all ‘earth mother.’ I’m not sure I’ll put my children out there and I think I’ll be really protective,” she said. while promoting reality show Gemma Collins: Diva Forever And Ever.
