Awaiting the birth of her second child this summer, former TOWIE star Ferne McCann and her fiancé Lorri Haines enjoyed an extravagant babymoon to Marrakesh last week.
Soaking up the sun in a series of snaps on social media, Ferne, who was also joined by her five-year-old daughter Sunday, enjoyed lazy days by the pool as well as trips to the souks and tourist hotspots like the Yves Saint Laurent gardens.
The First Time Mum star, who splashed out over £2,000 a night for their luxury hotel, indulged her pregnancy cravings through delicious meals in the Moroccan city’s restaurants, including Nobu Marrakesh.
Ferne, 32, and Lorri, also celebrated his 32nd birthday, with the star posting a picture of the couple on Instagram, writing, “From the moment I met you in the pizzeria in Dubai I knew it was a forever feeling.”
Ferne, who shares Sunday with her criminal ex Arthur Collins, has been dating Lorri since the end of 2021 and the pair became engaged last July, just seven months after going public with their romance.
Their relationship was thrown into turmoil when old videos of Lorri sniffing a suspicious white substance emerged last March, but he later made an emotional public apology and the couple have since gone from strength to strength.
Revealing they were expecting in March, Ferne said she and Lorri, who also has a son from a previous relationship, were “bursting at the seams with happiness” – later revealing the positive pregnancy news had come soon after a sad miscarriage for the pair.
Showing off her gorgeous bump in a black bikini poolside, Ferne told fans she feels proud and defiant of her changing body throughout this pregnancy.
She said, “The female body never fails to amaze me. In this second pregnancy I’ve gone to pick myself apart about my bump shape, my size, my boobs.
“But every time, I try to catch myself. For now this body is the home for this little bubba and for that I am in awe of my body.”
Her relaxing holiday will no doubt have been a welcome change for Ferne after a difficult few weeks. She broke down on This Morning last month over the public scandal, which saw an unknown Instagram account leak voice notes apparently of Ferne calling her former close friend Sam Faiers a “fat c***”. The shocking incident destroyed her previously close friendships with Sam, 32, and her sister Billie, 33.
Remaining silent when the voice notes were made public last September, viewers of First Time Mum watched the drama unravel for the first time on-screen as episodes aired last month showing Ferne sobbing and seeking therapy after feeling embarrassed and terrified to leave her house following the scandal.
She has also revealed her hurt at losing some of her best friends over the incident, including her “whole relationship” with Billie, who she had been close pals with for many years.
But now Ferne’s finally looking to the future, with the former TOWIE star revealing that the getaway had helped
her count her blessings and feel “an overwhelming sense of gratitude” for Lorri and Sunday, and their soon-to-be new addition.
Although the star admitted she can’t guess the baby’s gender, saying, “One morning I wake up and think I’m having a boy then next I think no, it’s definitely a girl… I cannot wait to see and meet this little one.”
