We’ve always wondered exactly what the Islanders can do on their phones when they’re in the Love Island villa. Sure, we know producers text them when new bombshells arrive or when there’s a challenge, but what else?
Are they able to download the Just Eat app and order a pizza? Can they make a call home and catch up with their 'rents? Are they allowed to binge, say, The Bear? Unfortunately not, as the villa phones are programmed to be as limited as possible with only a few applications, like the camera, functioning properly.
However, that didn’t stop a certain troublesome duo from getting up to complete and utter mischief during the winter 2023 series and now that Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum have been reunited we imagine the chaos is set to continue.
We are, of course, talking about Casey O’Gorman and Tom Clare, both of whom are taking part in the All Stars spin-off because of course they are.
During their first villa stint, Casey and Tom's naughtiness was exposed by winners Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan, when they chatted exclusively on an episode of Closer’s Love Island Secrets.
At the time Kai explained, “I think Casey and Tom actually hacked the phones.
“They unlocked it and I think the password was ‘Love Island season nine’ or something like that and it just opened up into a normal Android phone connected to the Wi-Fi.”
Sorry, what? Get them a job at MI5 immediately. Actually don't.
They weren’t the only ones messing around with the phones, though, as Kai revealed he also got in trouble for doing something he shouldn’t have.
“You know what, though, before you came in the villa?” Kai asked Sanam.
“You know when you take a picture, it shows where the picture's been taken and you can zoom out? It had Google Earth on it, so we were messing around on Google Earth but [the producers] took the phones off us and you literally couldn’t do anything on it.”
Oh, Kai, we thought you were one of the good ones.
