Another TOWIE star is set to trade in Brentwood for the jungle in the latest series of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.
Amber Turner is one of Essex's leading ladies, having appeared on the ITVBe show since 2017, but it has been confirmed that Essex's Queen B will be joining the likes of Love Island star Montana Brown and Liberty X singer Michelle Heaton for a new series of the challenge show.
Season five of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins will see Amber and 15 other celebs battle through a Vietnamese jungle as they, "face one of the toughest challenges of their lives when they’re put through the most gruelling stages of SAS selection."
Sounds like a barrel of laughs.
Former TOWIE star Joey Essex took part in the show back in 2020 but bowed out after struggling with the captivity test and Pete Wicks was forced to quit the show at the start of season four when he broke his ribs jumping out of a helicopter. So, yeah, Essex isn't winning at this one.
The first episode airs Tuesday 26 September at 9:30pm and will continue every Sunday at 9pm from 1 October.
Although Amber admits it was, "the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life," she apparently loved every minute.
"[It was] the most physically and emotionally demanding experience, but the best experience all in one. I loved every moment of it (except having that bag over my head) and wouldn’t think twice about doing it again!”
Amber may have loved her time on the show but it's claimed that the reality star, who recently split from long-term boyfriend Dan Edgar, has ruffled the feathers of her new co-stars and producers after demanding a new hotel room and failing to socialise with the rest of the cast during filming in Vietnam.
A TV insider explained, "Amber was by far the biggest diva in the cast during the shoot in Vietnam. Even before filming started, she was causing dramas for the crew.
"She decided she didn't like the hotel room she had been given and demanded that she get moved to another room higher up in the building so she has a better view."
The source told The Sun, "She was also quite aloof and didn't socialise with the rest of the cast much before they began shooting.
"Everyone else was hanging out but she wasn't that chatty and just seemed a bit stand-offish. The cast were surprised as everybody else was really down to earth and didn't come with any airs and graces."
Amber's representatives have been approached for comment.
