She might be playing the role of peacemaker on the current series of TOWIE, but according to reports, Ella Rae Wise is causing some serious drama for Celebrity Big Brother bosses just days ahead of her heavily rumoured stint.
According to reports, Ella is due to enter the Celebrity Big Brother house on Monday 7 April 2025 alongside Drag Race UK's Danny Beard, MAFS UK's Ella Morgan and Love Island's Chris Hughes, but has been having 'meltdowns' over leaving boyfriend Dan Edgar and is now having 'cold feet' over the whole thing.
According to The Sun, the couple have been 'rowing lately' and Ella is concerned about being apart for weeks during an already turbulent time in their relationship.
A source told the publication, 'Ella has been having meltdowns about going on Celebrity Big Brother.
'She doesn't trust Dan while she’s in the house and the fact that she won’t know what’s going on is giving her anxiety. By the sounds of it she’s having major cold feet.
'It’s really stressful in there if things are unsettled on the outside and as they've been rowing lately, it's made her feel worried about being away.'
They added, 'Everyone knows Dan is a flirt and Ella doesn’t trust him. They always argue over trust issues.'
And to be fair to her, we totally see where these anxieties are coming from. Lest we forget that In May 2024, Ella revealed she and Dan had split (for the first time – although, to be fair, we have lost count now) following reports he cheated on her with his ex-girlfriend, Hannah Rally.
If Ella chooses to pull out of the upcoming series, this will undoubtedly be a major blow for ITV, who are hoping that the young TOWIE star will bring in 'fresh viewers'.
A source told the publication, 'Ella has lots of promise and producers think she'll be really good on CBB as one of the youngest housemates.
'She'll bring a lot of fresh viewers with her and could spill on her famous love life.
'ITV like to cross reference between their shows as it helps with promotion.
'Ella's got her head screwed on and is really witty and funny and isn't afraid of a bit of drama.'
Earlier this week, ITV confirmed that Celebrity Big Brother will return for a new series on Monday 7th April at 9pm on ITV1, ITVX, STV and STV Player. The second series will once again be hosted by AJ Odudu and Will Best.
