Last we heard, the TOWIE cast had welcomed a Love Island star into their fold in the form of Ella Barnes.
The Love Island 2023 bombshell was set to follow in the footsteps of several former Islanders, including Jon Clark and Elma Pazar, to become a TOWIE regular, but after some chat from Roman Hackett it seems that may not be the case.
Ella appeared on TOWIE after she struck up a romance with Roman, however the model never actually confirmed if they were an item or whether or not Ella would be a permanent addition to the Essex guys and gals.
Opening up about his love affair with Ella, Roman revealed what went down between them and we have a feeling she won't be back on The Only Way is Essex anytime soon.
"We were dating for a while," he confessed. "Things didn’t work out but we still speak, she’s a lovely girl."
"It’s just that things didn’t work out," he went on in a chat with The Sun. "We’re very very close. Me and her weren't like a flirty relationship, I look out for her. She’s a good girl."
It turns out that one of the possible reasons Ella and Roman couldn't make it work was because he still has his eye on a former flame.
"You know the history between me and Dani [Imbert], it’s been an on and off thing," Roman explained, "If I’m honest with you, I have feelings for her, but she doesn’t have feelings for me."
Ouch.
Dani and Roman have been on and off since they both joined the cast but it always seemed to be a case of right person and wrong time. Could series 34 be the season they finally make a go of things?
