It takes a certain type of person to date TOWIE's resident class clown Diags and at the moment it's Jodie Wells who has taken it upon herself to build a romance with one of the longest-running TOWIE cast members.

It hasn't been the smoothest of sailing for the couple, what with Diags kissing Elma Pazar when he was supposed to be dating Jodie and never quite being able to commit.

In fact, during the cast trip to Cyprus, the two fell out after Diags decided to send a text message to former flame Elma saying he missed her; while Jodie was sat NEXT TO HIM.

Just why, Diags? Why?

But it seems that Diags has being making more of an effort to behave and in one of the most recent episodes of the show Jodie even introduced him to her little boy, Bear, which we can all agree is always a good sign.

In a recent chat, Jodie opened up about her relationship with Diags as well as where she stands with Elma.

'He’s just an idiot,' she confessed during a catch up with OK!

'He has a drink and he just thinks all of his jokes are funny, and they’re not', she continued.

We love the savagery of it; if your significant other isn't going to knock you down a peg or two, who will?

'I don’t think there was anything behind it,' she admitted when asked about the text to Elma. 'I just think he was just trying to be funny. But it’s a joke at my expense.'

'Me and Elma are good,' she revealed. 'Off screen and on screen we have had conversations, we went on a night out. We’re at a really good place and it’s going well.'

Jodie also chatted about her plans to move house and is hoping to move closer to her Essex-based bae.

'I like where James lives now. I would like somewhere a little bit more quiet,' she explained. 'It’s bringing him away slightly from the party lifestyle.'
