They really did seem like a match made in reality TV heaven; a Love Island legend and a TOWIE turned Strictly Come Dancing star sparking up a romance; the Morticia and Gomez Addams of reality TV, the Sandy and Danny of our dreams, the Jack and Rose that survived the Titanic. But then, Maura Higgins spent Valentine's Day WITHOUT her apparent bae Pete Wicks and everything suddenly came crashing down.

The Love Island 2019 finalist and the Essex star have been battling dating rumours for months.
They all but confirmed the romance when they were photographed kissing (BIG clue) and then Maura took part in I'm A Celeb. Although she didn't name Pete she admitted that she was 'seeing someone,' and that her fellow campmates would know who it was.
Fast forward to February 2025 and, during a night out with one of her pals, the paparazzi asked Maura where Pete was.

In a clip snapped by The Sun, Maura, who we all know is never one to shy away from confrontation spoke just five words which revealed all.
'I don't know, probably cheating.'
And the whole world gasped.
According to the tabloid, there have been, 'some rows over trust,' between the two and Maura later found, 'loads of messages with other women on his phone.'
Oh Pete, will you ever learn? Isn't this the very same reason his relationship with Megan McKenna fell apart, as well as his romance with Shelby Tribble?
What's worse is that Maura and Pete have been pals for years which means he hasn't just lost a girlfriend this time, but he's potentially lost a best friend, too.
