Now that we know Strictly Come Dancing bosses are in the game of casting Love Island stars (thanks to Strictly 2023's inclusion of the show's first ever Islander, Zara McDermott) there's all to manifest for future series. If Strictly bosses are already on the lookout for next year's Islanders, might we suggest they consider Love Island 2023 finalist Ella Thomas? Not only is the thought of Ella collabing with Strictly's costume department an actual vision of iconicness, but she's exclusively told Closer she's ready to take to the dance floor.
We always knew this Love Island OG was both a summer and a winter.
While discussing other reality shows she'd go on, Ella revealed, "I’m open to more TV work.
"I’d love to do something like Strictly, you know; I love the costumes and I love the dancing. Yeah definitely, I’d love to do that."
We can totally see Ella stepping into Zara's dance shoes next year. In fact, Strictly scouts, just in case you're reading this, take a look at Ella's TikTok – trust us, this one gives Molly Marsh a run for her influencer money.
Speaking of Zara's involvement this year, Ella said, "She’s the first person from Love Island to go on Strictly, which is amazing. I need to catch up and watch her on it, I’ve just not had the chance. But she’s definitely opened the door for more Love Islanders, so that’s exciting. Manifest!"
In September, Zara waltzed onto our screens for the latest series of Strictly.
Before joining, Zara said, "I am so excited to be joining the world of Strictly! I grew up watching it every year with my nan and she was the biggest Strictly fan. We would dance around the house and I have such fond memories of that time in my life.
"I even remember the first ever series, and being mesmerised by all the beautiful dresses! I can’t wait to throw myself into this experience and start training. It’s going to be incredible."
She was partnered with Graziano Di Prima; the duo were voted out in Week 6 (Halloween week).
