It’s been just over a month since the latest series of Strictly came to an end when Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell were crowned the champions and, frankly, we’re starting to get withdrawal symptoms.
We miss the sequined outfits, we miss the glamour of it all, we miss Claudia Winkleman and Tess Daly, and we even miss Craig Revel Horwood’s cutting remarks.
We also miss seeing Strictly 2024 winners Chris and Dianne on our screens every week, so we’re very excited that they’ve just announced a new joint venture.
Taking to Instagram over the weekend, Dianne revealed that she and Chris are launching their own weekly podcast and the first episode is out in just a matter of days.
Alongside a series of hilarious behind-the-scenes clips from their Strictly training sessions, Dianne wrote, ‘Want more of this nonsense? Chris and Dianne are going to be hooking up for a weekly publicly available catch up, otherwise known as a PODCAST.
‘First episode out in just four days and counting. If you’ve got any questions for us, put them here and we will try to get around to answering some on the pod. See you all on Thursday. We can’t wait! X’
She added, ‘Details on name and where to find it soon 👀.’
In the comments section, Chris revealed that the pair’s first episode would feature them discussing their big win when he wrote, ‘And of course we will have to start with a recap of that final won't we. Can't wait partner! 🫡❤️.’
Fans also rushed to share their excitement, with one commenting, ‘I'm so bloody happy, this is EVERYTHING,’ while another remarked, ‘This is SO exciting omg.’
Chris and Dianne took home the Glitterball trophy last month after beating out stiff competition from fellow finalists Sarah Hadland and Vito Coppola, JB Gill and Lauren Oakley and Tasha Ghouri and Aljaž Škorjanec.
Chris – who was the first blind contestant to take part in Strictly – dedicated his win to Dianne and said it was for ‘everyone out there who's got told they couldn't do something or thought they couldn't do it’.
He added, ‘It just shows with opportunity and support and determination, anything can happen.’
