What will Lily’s answer be when Prince goes down on bended knee?....
Ahh…get ready for some serious romance in Hollyoaks and savour the moment because it doesn’t happen very often!
Next week Prince takes a note out of Prince Harry's book (congrats Harry and Meghan!) and decides to ask Lily to marry him...... but he’s certainly not doing anything by halves.
He sets to work transforming the Folly into some kind of fairy-lit grotto, complete with hearts, sparkles and even a romantic picnic for two thrown in for good measure. Bless him…he HAS been a busy bee!
Not only that, but he decides to do things the traditional way and asks Lily’s legal guardian…that’ll be Tony… for permission to have Lil’s hand in marriage!
Tony and his other half Diane have never been huge fans of Lily and Prince’s relationship but after a bit of dithering Tony agrees and gives smitten Prince the go-ahead.
Lily is stunned when her boyfriend later leads her to his decorated hideaway and reveals the carefully co-ordinated surprise.
And she’s even more stunned when he suddenly gets down on bended knee, whips out a ring and asks her to be his wife! Aaah….so sweet! Look, Lily’s even clutching a red-rose.
However, with impeccable timing Diane and Tony suddenly gate-crash proceedings. Tony may have given his blessing but it seems, protective mum Diane has got other ideas!
Is Diane about to call a halt to proceedings or will Lily say yes and rush into getting hitched?
We can only hope Prince’s efforts haven’t been in vain….otherwise that was a serious waste of fairylights and a picnic, not to mention a ring!
