EastEnders viewers have been wondering what happened to Peter Beale ever since Lauren Branning returned to the square with his brother Steven and now it seems that we'll finally find out.
In 2015 after Peter discovered that his younger brother Bobby Beale killed his twin sister Lucy, he decided to leave Albert Square with Lauren Branning and travel New Zealand.
While there they met up with his brother Steven Beale but earlier this year EastEnders fan were shocked when Lauren returned to the Square with Steven and not Peter after the news came that the pair split.
Since their return Lauren and Steven have become an item and Steven has even changed from his dark days of being the evil villain and is now helping Lauren raise the baby.
Aaron Sidwell (who plays Steven Beale) has previously admitted that he'd like Peter Beale to return: "I would love to see Ben Hardy reprise his role of Peter and to see a showdown between him and Steven for Lauren.
"Peter is always going to be a fixture in the story, considering that he and Lauren have a child together that Steven is raising," he told Inside Soap.
And he has recently confessed that viewers will start to see cracks in Lauren and Peter's relationship: "There's always going to be something going against them, and that thing will always probably be Peter," he told the Express.
And now Jacqueline Jossa (who plays Lauren) revealed that we're finally going to find out what happened to Peter Beale: "You're going to find out actually quite soon.
"It starts to unravel and you kind of start to think okay this is why, this is what happened. It's interesting," she told OK! Online.
But that's not the only upcoming storyline that Lauren is involved in as her dad Max Branning is returning to the show after wrongfully being found guilty of killing Lucy Beale.
Eek!
We can't wait for him to return.
