Danny Dyer takes no-nonsense as Phillip Schofield attempts joke at British Soap Awards in Manchester.
The EastEnders legend looked unimpressed and kept a straight face as Phillip Schofield poked fun at him and cracked a joke about him being a fan of “the trim down south” live on air at the British Soap Awards on Sunday night.
Danny Dyer failed to laugh at Soap Awards host Phillip’s attempted joke and fans watching the awards show on TV seemed equally shocked by the comment.

When introducing some famous faces in the audience, Phillip said, “We have also been joined by Danny Dyer who I have been told is a big fan of the trim down south.”
The presenter was trying to provoke harmless soap rivalry and play on the fact that Coronation Street’s David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) owns a salon called Trim Up North.
As the audience giggled, Phillip teased, “True Danny?”
However, Essex boy Danny appeared ‘disgusted’ at the joke and Schofield had to quickly move on.
Viewers took to Twitter to comment on the awkward moment between the popular TV hardman and the This Morning presenter.
One user wrote, “Don't think Danny Dyer found @Schofe very funny on the @SoapAwards #SoapAwards #soapawards2019 the look of disgust on his face!! Priceless.”
Another cringed at the situation and tweeted, “Danny dyers face then. Don't think he liked that joke Phil #soapawards”

The dad-of-three to Danni, Arty and Sunnie, was nominated for Best Actor at this year's British Soap Awards but lost to Gregory Finnegan who plays James Nightingale in Hollyoaks.
Danny has played pub landlord Mick Carter since 2013 and his TV wife is played by Kelly Bright. Last year, Danny took a short break from filming the soap to star in a Harold Pinter play in London. During his time off, Danny’s character spent time in prison after the dramatic pub shooting.
