As much as we are loving having Big Brother and TOWIE back on our screens, we really are missing both Love Island and The Real Housewives of Cheshire.

Regarding RHOCheshire, it's been months since the warring ladies (apparently that cast divide is showing no signs of letting up, FYI) came head to head at the series 17 reunion and sadly, we're still months away from getting any fresh content from our Cheshire queens.

Luckily, we regularly keep in touch with the cast regarding their ventures outside of the show, so truth be told we're never missing our fave lavish ladies for too long, and towards the end of the summer, we caught up with queen of queens, OG Housewife, Tanya Bardsley.

As well, exposing the latest on the cast divide and lifting the lid on next year's mysterious ten-year anniversary series of RHOCheshire, Tanya also spilled some major tea on... Love Island. Yep.

In past interviews, Tanya has spoken openly out about how she would love her daughter, Gabriella, to go on the popular ITV dating show, and in our most recent chat with the Housewife she revealed exclusively to Closer online that Gabriella has had multiple conversations with Love Island producers – and she keeps turning them down.

Tea, right? Take a sip.

Tanya revealed, 'Well, she's been asked twice now and she's said no. Gabriella... we are doing a family project, which I'll tell you about, not yet, but soon... but she reminds of a Disney princess. She's a bit like me, but nicer. You can't do any of the game playing and stuff – she'd just cry. She loves watching [Love Island], she's a big fan of it, but she doesn't think she'd enjoy it.'

To be fair, we totally understand why Love Island producers want Gabriella to sign up, as she totally matches the criteria for a modern-day Islander: she's obviously stunning, she works in beauty aesthetics, she already boasts over 70K Instagram followers, and she has a famous parent with a serious link to ITV – very Gemma Owen pre-Love Island 2022.

But we defo respect Gabriella for turning down the obvious allure of the hit ITV show – it's giving boss queen with OPTIONS.

At the time, a source told The Sun, 'It’s early stages and she’s just in talks but Gigi is really keen to sign up.

'She’s obviously got ITV connections through her mum but if she does get on the show, it won’t be because of that.'

That obviously didn't happen, but let's just say we'll be keeping an extra close on The Real Nepo Babies of Cheshire henceforth, as we sniff a trend.
