When you think of Love Island ladies connected with cheeky Love Island 2021 favourite Toby Aromolaran you think of Chloe Burrows, Faye Winter, Kaz Kamwi, Abigail Rawlings, Mary Bedford, Georgia Steel (for a hot sec on Love Island Games). If you're a Love Island obsessive like the Closer team are that is.
Actually, that's quite a lot, and somewhat detracts from our point. Darn. Okay, well one of those gorgeous gals is controversial finalist (after THAT Movie Night) turned animal activist Faye Winter.
Although Toby and Faye never coupled up in the Love Island 2021 villa, they were good friends and have maintained a close platonic relationship in the outside world, with Toby calling her his "best friend".
However, romance rumours started flying after Faye posted a video of the duo – who both split from their Love Island counterparts in 2023 – on TikTok dancing and lip-syncing. The rumours haven't really fizzled out, so naturally, when Closer got the chance to interview Toby ahead of his Love Island: All Stars debut the topic of Miss Winter got brought up fairly swiftly.
Speaking of Faye he told journalists, "Faye is my wife. I’m joking! Faye is literally my best friend.
"From my season I don't really chat to a lot of people from my season, but Faye is literally the person that I speak to the most out of whole season, which is crazy. But yeah, she's literally my best friend."
Toby went on to reveal that while things are platonic between the Love Island stars he wouldn't completely right off the prospect of them becoming more than friends...
He continued, "Never say never. Because the Love Island villa is a weird place, like, it has you bringing up feelings that you never knew you had and stuff like that. So that's the experience I've had before. So it could happen again. But I don't want to say that. I feel like once you cross that line, it's a crazy line to cross as well. Like, you know, it's your best friend, and then if you cross that line, like, is there any coming back from it? It's a very touchy thing."
It certainly could be. Here's hoping Faye walks in as a surprise bombshell then.
Or Chloe. Or both.
Speaking to Love Island producers ahead of the launch of Love Island, Toby revealed that "Love Island worked for me the first time."
"I had a good relationship and fell in love. If I'm single and Love Island is an opportunity for me, how could you turn down the chance to find love again?"
Love Island: All Stars starts on Monday 15th January, 9pm on ITV1, ITV2, ITVX and STV
