While we wait for TOWIE to make its triumphant return to our screens (we have an inkling it might coincide with the conclusion of a certain reality based dating show, btw, but don't quote us on it), we are forced to get our daily dose of east end #dramz by following those Essex lovelies on Instagram and TikTok.
You say obsessed and weird, we say loyal and devoted. We've stood alongside this lot since 2010, so to be honest, it's July 2022 and we just miss them. We've also resorted to playing that god awful/iconic 2011 Christmas single twice a week, just for the throwback vibes. If you're too young to remember that, that's fine, just leave us alone with our memories.
Anyway, luckily, every reality star from every corner of the reality galaxy flocked to ITV HQ this week for the channel's summer party, which of course means: Instagram Stories, TikToks, paparazzi snaps and of course, a fair raised eyebrows. Probably good vibes, too.
Most of said raised eyebrows were raised by TOWIE's Roman Hackett who was spotted canoodling with one of our favourite Islanders at this year's summer bash.

The 20-year-old The Only Way is Essex star was spotted and snapped getting friendly with none other than Love Island 2021 star Liberty Poole.
Not only were the pair papped looking cosy leaving the party, but Liberty appeared on Roman's Instagram Stories throwing some serious love eyes at the camera from inside the bash. Neither of the stars have opened up about dating anyone new, so there's a chance this could just be harmless summer flirting; but we're drama junkies, so we're keeping our fingers crossed for some summer lovein'.
Before series 29 (yes, really), TOWIE fans waved goodbye to a lot of Essex stars following a huge cast cull, but one of the newest members, model and lifestyle manager (let's face it that could be any job) Roman Hackett managed to survive the axe.
Roman is best friends with fellow newbie Dani Imbert (the pair are family friends) and we've previously seen him grow close to Ella Rae Wise.
If you're so immersed in this year's Love Island that you couldn't possibly recall a 2021 contestant, allow us to refresh your memory and remind you just how iconic Liberty Poole is. Before being cast on last year's Love Island, Liberty was a marketing student who works as a waitress at Nando's. She left the villa just days before the final alongside Jake Cornish. In emotional scenes, the nation watched Liberty choose “self love” as she ended things with her now ex-boyfriend and admitted that she didn’t feel they were right for each other.
But, you know what they say, as one door closes, a back door at an ITV party swings open to let two new lovebirds sneak out arm in arm.
