Turns out we really ARE living in a world where the only couple who survived this year's Love Island were involved in one of the most savage Casa Amor moments in the dating show's history.

It has been confirmed that Nicole Samuel and Ciaran Davies have officially split, which leaves just Wil Anderson and Uma Jammeh still in a relationship.

Rumours started to circulate last week that the runners-up of Love Island 2024 were on the rocks after a source, who attended a recent event alongside Nicole and Ciaran, revealed how the duo 'kept their distance from each other' the entire night.

A spokesperson for the couple has now confirmed that the Love Island finalists are no more.

'Over the last couple of days, Nicole and Ciaran have made the mutual decision to part ways. They have left the relationship on amicable terms, and will remain good friends going forward,' their representative said.

The news comes after countless fans were wondering what the hell was going on between the Love Island finalists. One eagle-eyed fan shared a ad video that Nicole and Ciaran filmed shortly before their split on Reddit and wrote, 'Something is up, they look awkward together 💔💔,' with their fellow Redditors all thinking the same thing.

'It’s like they were given a challenge to not look at each other 💀,' one person declared, while another added, 'Not Wil and Uma on their way to being the longest lasting couple of this season despite all the Casa chaos 😅.'

It wasn't just online that rumours were swirling, as although the OG Islanders both attended a Christmas party together last week, a source told Closer that they were barely together.

'[Ciaran] spent most of the night hanging out with pals like Sammy Root, while Nicole partied with Ella Rae Wise and Chloe Ferry,' they explained before adding, ‘They didn’t leave together either, as Nicole appeared to make an early exit, but Ciaran stayed out longer.’

Now we know why.
