If you read that headline and asked yourself, 'Who the f**k is Luke Mabbott?' Fair. It's not that the bombshell didn't make an impact during his stint on Love Island, but since finding fame on the first ever winter series way back in 2020, he's not exactly actively chased the celebrity spotlight.

Until now, it would seem...

So, when we say we did not see this TV move coming, we mean... WE DID NOT SEE THIS TV MOVE COMING. Points for keeping the Closer online team on their toes, Luke.

Also, hi, we're still crushing on you five years later.

It's been confirmed that Luke will co-host the next series of Channel 4's Renovation Rescue alongside model and presenter Vogue Williams. The first series was hosted by Stacey Solomon, FYI, so a decent presenting gig by anyone's standards.

According to Channel 4, 'Armed with a degree in Construction Design and Management and another in Quantity Surveying, presenter Vogue Williams will take charge of proceedings alongside trained heating and plumbing engineer & former Love Island star Luke Mabbott.'

We can't help but wonder whether Messy Mitch went for this gig, too...

The second series will follow ambitious renovations as Vogue and Luke share money-saving skills, offer design inspiration, and demonstrate simple DIY techniques anyone can try at home.

Luke said, 'The fact that Channel 4 are putting their trust in me to be part of this series is just mind blowing to me, but I am so excited. I can’t wait to work with Vogue and help change the lives of people who need just a little bit of encouragement and some simple tips and tricks to make their dream project a reality.'

To be fair, we've been following Luke's home renovations on Instagram for years and he really does know what he's doing.

We're obsessed, though. Now we just need Molly Marsh on the Britain's Got Talent judging panel and Arabella Chi rebooting Britain's Next Top Model. Oh, and Jessy Potts rebooting Cirque de Celebrité. Imagine.

Luke entered the first winter Love Island villa in 2020 alongside fellow bombshell, Luke Trotman. At first Luke coupled up with Jess Gale, but following Casa Amor he recoupled with Natalia Zoppa.

Things seemed great between them until they returned to the main villa and Natalia didn't appear interested.

Luke then recoupled with Demi Jones and despite Shaughna Phillips showing an interest, he stuck by Demi's side and they made it to the final.

He is now engaged to none other than Love Island 2019's Lucie Donlan. Luke and Lucie started dating in June 2020 before getting engaged December 2021, and now they're living together in Cornwall.

Both Ben and Beary are awaiting an invite to join The Real Housewives of Cheshire for series 18. The budget's not there, but the drama is 💅.
