The Love Island journey can lead Islanders down many different narrative paths; there's the main character path, the villain path, the love triangle path, the perpetually-single-but-still-adored-by-the-public path – we could go on, but our editor has capped this Love Island 2023 story at 350 words.
One path literally no Islander ever wants to walk is the 'forgotten Casa boy' path. You know, when a Casa Amor boy comes in, gets very little air time, lays it on SO thick with one or two of the main girls, and then doesn't get brought back to the main villa – disappearing into the Love Island abyss.
It's not the ideal route to Love Island stardom, but generally, you do get a few swish parties, a few thousand followers and maybe a free gift or two out of it. One of those boys was 20-year-old Kodie Murphy who briefly set his sights on Jess Harding and Kady McDermott (see, main girls) in Casa Amor but none of his grafting in the second villa paid off and he was also sent packing at the recoupling.
Re Miss McDermott, that's a shame really, because the names Kodie and Kady really roll off the tongue nicely together.
But, despite getting the boot and losing out on his chance at the main villa, Kodie appears to have returned to the UK with his head held high and pretty close to major reality stars. It appears that once again Kodie has his sights set on two main characters, but these main characters just happen to be TOWIE legends, not Love Island stars.
Well, TOWIE legends turned House of Sims titular main characters. Either way, we love a crossover...
The 2023 Casa Amor bombshell was recently pictured on a night out in London with none other than Closer legends Frankie and Demi Sims, and yes, our worlds momentarily imploded.
Kodie captioned the pic, 'Double trouble' on his Instagram story, which was later shared on Frankie's story.
We're not quite sure what this snap means or whether Kodie has history with the girls, but we do have a question we need answering right away: is the guy in the background just above Frankie's bottom okay, hun?
Kodie entered the 2023 Casa Amor villa on day 27 and immediately set his sights on Jess and Kady (the latter briefly) – he's definitely got an eye for main characters – and was dumped on day 31.
During his exit interview he told producers, "I spoke to Kady but she understandably said we were at two different stages in our lives."
Speaking of Jess, he said, "With Jess, I tried my charm but sometimes when a girl has her mind made up, which Jess did, it was hard to change it."
He added, "Me and Jess really started to connect but then she decided she wasn’t feeling it. Jess hadn’t really mentioned Sammy to me, so I was surprised by how she felt."
