Now that the first ever series of Love Island All Stars has come to an end, you’d think our obsession with the series would have cooled, but these Islanders just continue to give us so much to talk about.
While All Stars gave the Islanders a second chance at love, some wound up in the very same couple as their first time around - like Molly Smith and Callum Jones, or Kaz Kamwi and Tyler Cruickshank.
This naturally led to people wanting a romantic reunion, and although Molly and Callum have insisted that they’re now completely platonic, the same can’t be said for Kaz and Tyler.
Kaz and Tyler dated for a few months after appearing on Love Island 2021 and they briefly recoupled during their time in the All Stars villa. Although they failed to reignite their spark, the pair recently sent Love Island fans into a frenzy by posting a couple of VERY cosy TikToks to suggestive or romantic songs.
We sat down with their fellow former Islanders, Joanna Chimonides and Chris Taylor, for all the behind the scenes tea and they gave us their take on the possible IRL recoupling. Do they think Kaz and Tyler could be making a comeback?
Joanna said, “I’ve seen the TikToks, but I don’t think they are. They’re just on really good terms. Even when we did have our phones, all the boys were FaceTiming each other and Tyler FaceTimed Kaz.”
However, Chris didn’t shut it down, and even revealed an unaired moment supporting the close bond between Kaz and Tyler.
He said, “I don’t know, because actually, they didn’t show this, but when we were voting to save somebody, Tyler actually very heavily supported Kaz on staying in. And she never knew that, I told her after Tyler went. So, I suppose, they’re at least good mates again now, but I keep winding Tyler up about it… I don’t think they’d tell us anyway, they’d just do it.”
Could we have the next Tommy Fury and Molly-Mae Hague on our hands? We would absolutely watch a Tyler and Kaz spin-off, so here’s hoping it’s on the cards.
