Turns out this year's Love Island couples aren't in it for the long haul. Who knew?
Earlier this week, former TOWIE star turned Love Island 2024 bombshell Joey Essex and Jessy Potts confirmed that they had gone their separate ways and now Joey has spoken out on the break up.
Joey joined on day one of the dating show and coupled up with Liverpudlian Samantha Kenny; although they had a cute little romance, his head was turned by the arrival of former flame, Grace Jackson.
That was a short-lived love affair as Joey couldn't help but flirt with every Love Island girlie that entered the villa before he finally coupled up with Jessy three weeks in to the show and they ended up being booted out just before the final.
Alas, Joey and Jessy also had a flitting romance and are no longer an item.
'Unfortunately, we just parted ways. I wish her all the best,' Joey revealed and how very diplomatic of the Essex icon.
Chatting to Goss.ie at a recent event he went on to open up about the possibility of taking part in the second season of Love Island: All Stars and to be honest we didn't even think that would be an option.
'Oh not right now, no,' he confessed and it looks as though we're all on the same page. 'That’s not in the pipeline right now, no.'
Jessy is yet to comment on the end of their relationship but she was far too busy having a good time last night partying it up with fellow Islanders Ronnie Vint and Lucinda Strafford so who can blame her?
