He’s only just left the Love Island villa but dumped All Stars contestant Joe Garratt will be back on our screens very soon when Celebrity Ex on the Beach returns for a new series.
It was rumoured that Joe’s Ex on the Beach contract banned him from entering the All Stars villa after he filmed the MTV show in Gran Canaria last year alongside fellow Islanders Paige Turley and Finn Tapp as well as TOWIE trio Chloe Brockett, James Lock and Yazmin Oukhellou, so we were a little bit surprised when he touched down in Cape Town earlier this month.
However, Joe has finally revealed how he managed to appear on both reality romance shows in an exclusive chat with Closer for our All Stars Secrets series and let’s just say it’s not what you know but who you know.
“My best friend is actually a lawyer. I grew up with him,” Joe explained, “So yeah, we just negotiated out of the contract. Ben, thanks very much, mate.
“If you ever need a contract negotiated, go to Ben.”
Obsessed.
Joe also told us about bending the rules during his (sadly very short) stint on All Stars, admitting that producers gave him a ticking off for revealing information about the outside world.
He said, “When I came in, obviously people do ask you certain questions about the outside like what’s happening, all this jazz and I did go to say some stuff and obviously I got told you can’t.
“That’s probably the only thing I’ve been told off for.”
If you’re wondering who got told off the most, Joe claimed Joshua Ritchie was the biggest troublemaker in the villa and honestly, are you surprised?
No, us neither.
“Who is the biggest troublemaker to the producers?" Joe pondered, "I think, funnily enough, I think Josh, he's one of the ones to be like 'nah hold on.'"
