Even we cringe at some of the questions we have to ask dumped Love Island stars when they come out of the villa.
After six weeks of continuously writing about these kings and queens on Love Island 2024 we feel like we know them, and we just feel like no one is going to fess up to the all important cringe AF question: are Islanders doing bits in the villa?
No one except Jess White, that is.
Love Island has come a long way since filming Islanders shagging on top of the covers and airing it on national telly (if you know you know). Fast forward eight years and the show has become slightly more reserved when it comes to all things sex (despite turning the Hideaway into a 24 hour sex palace – we didn't see that coming).
But it's safe to say in 2024, producers are not airing any night time antics to millions of viewers. Unless Unseen Bits – which we never really watch – actually means something very, very different.
This, of course, sparks our curiosity even more – surely if you've got closed off couples, couples dropping L-bombs and even couples calling themselves boyfriend and girlfriend, they're not keeping it PG under those duvets night after night? Saying that, they are ALL sharing one giant windowless bedroom together – awks and ew.
We never really get the full story when we quiz dumped Islanders about this, but our girl Jess – in addition to revealing the drunken fib that landed her in trouble with show producers – has given us a pretty solid answer that actually makes a lot of sense in our recent exclusive interview. See what you think...
When asked if any of her fellow Islanders were "doing bits" in the villa, Jess replied, "I'm not sure if anyone did, I think everyone was really nervous about anything being shown. So I think everyone's on their best behaviour, because you never actually know what's shown and what's not. From what I've seen the producers have kind of edited it quite well and made everyone look like angels. I'm not sure if everyone was an angel."
Thanks to previous chats with other Islanders, we do know that nudity is allegedly banned in the villa, as is masturbation. Yep, it's claimed that Love Island's apparent no nudity policy means contestants are not allowed to be fully naked in front of each other or even in the shower, as the villa is a public place.
As for playing with yourself, according to The Mirror, "Despite Islanders being told to get frisky whenever they wish, this must be with a partner. No solo acts are permitted on the premises".
However Elma Pazar hinted that all the boys broke this rule in the villa.
