Stephanie Davis was reportedly in talks to take part in Strictly Come Dancing 2017

Stephanie Davis has apparently been left "devastated" by Strictly Come Dancing bosses following reports that she's no longer in talks to appear on the show.

It's already been confirmed that a JLS boyband member, a former Emmerdale actress and a This Morning presenter have all signed up for the BBC One dance show and Steph was reportedly hoping she too would appear on the show this year.

Steph was reportedly "in talks" with Strictly bosses however following the latest incidents surrounding the former Hollyoaks actress and her ex-boyfriend Jeremy McConnell, they have cancelled any chances of her appearing on the show.

Last month the mum-of-one to Caben-Albi was arrested for "allegedly attacking Jeremy", then her ex-boyfriend was found guilty of attacking her from an incident back in March and then Steph heartbreakingly revealed she had suffered a miscarriage due to stress.

Now, a friend of the actress turned reality star has revealed she's upset as she was hoping Strictly would be her big comeback. They told The Sun: "Stephanie was hoping the talks that were taking place with Strictly Come Dancing would see her taking part in this year's show.

"But unfortunately they didn't want to be associated with her at this moment in time so have quashed any chance of her appearing now or in the future.

"She is devastated she was hoping this could be her big come back!"

They added: "It's just another setback she didn't need along with the charges hanging over her with the assault on Jezz."

Even though Steph is no longer on bail following the alleged attack on her ex-boyfriend, she is still under investigation.

Steph's representatives have since replied to the reports and said: "She was not dropped from the show."

Does this mean Steph could be signing up for Strictly?
