She found fame on The X Factor in 2009 and insiders say that Stacey Solomon – who has since forged a new path as a TV presenter and social media influencer – is now tempted to get back to her singing roots.

After fans applauded her rendition of Somewhere Over The Rainbow – which she performed at her grandma’s 95th birthday in December – Stacey’s seriously considering returning to the music world, but is torn over the idea after negative experiences in the past.

Our source says, “Stacey loved the reaction from fans after her grandma’s birthday and she’s had some interesting offers from the music industry. She’s tempted, but there’s a lot to consider.”

After reaching the final of The X Factor, Stacey, 34, pursued her music career. But it was a traumatic experience, which saw her being propositioned by a music producer who wanted to spend “alone time” with her in exchange for helping her career. Speaking in 2018, Stacey said, “At first I just laughed it off, but then I realised it was a real invitation of, ‘If you come with me, then maybe I can help you’. At that point, I was like, ‘OK, I am going to go home and definitely not further my career in this’.”

Understandably, Stacey – who has been married to actor Joe Swash, 41, for a year – is unsure of following her dreams after the traumatic experience.

“Stacey was massively turned off by the sleaziness of the music industry the first time around,” says our source. “She was gutted it didn’t all work out and doesn’t want her heart broken again.

“However, things are different now. Stacey has a lot more power; she has a huge fanbase and record companies know she has mass appeal.

“Right now, she’s weighing it all up. Her pals and Joe have urged her to give it serious thought, as they know it would mean following her passion.”
