She announced the happy news of the birth of her second baby girl, Belle, last week with a sweet Instagram post and follow-up name reveal.
And now, insiders say mum-of-five Stacey Solomon is planning a huge celebration at her beloved Pickle Cottage.
A source says, “Stacey is feeling so much joy right now that she wants to plan a series of special events to celebrate the arrival of her new baby. She’s told pals that she wants to do a special naming day for her two girls and is planning a huge star-studded celebration at Pickle Cottage.”
In 2008, aged 17, Stacey welcomed her first child Zach with childhood sweetheart Dean Cox. Four years later, she had a second son, Leighton, with ex-fiancé Aaron Barham.
She then went on to welcome another son Rex, three, and a daughter Rose, 16 months, with husband Joe Swash, who she married in July 2022 at their lavish £1.2m Essex cottage. They tied the knot in a traditional Jewish ceremony surrounded by their nearest and dearest, before the wedding party was treated to a performance by TOWIE’s James “Arg” Argent. The bride, 33, shared a video with her fans showcasing the gorgeous dining table layout and intricate detailing, including white flower garlands and fairy lights.
Rose was born in lockdown, and while several Covid restrictions had begun to ease by the time she was born, some socialising guidelines were still in place, making it difficult for Stacey’s loved ones to celebrate Rose’s birth in person.
But in December 2021, the Loose Women panellist shared the moment Rose met her great-grandmother.
Alluding to the lack of social contact, Stacey wrote, “We haven’t been able to see you enough over the last two years but we are excited and grateful to start making memories again to love and treasure as much as we treasure you.
“Thinking of anyone who hasn’t been able to make memories with their special ones that they deserved.”
And so, to make up for lost time, insiders say Stacey wants to go all-out for a joint “naming day” for the two girls – with a celebrity guest list.
The source says, “Stacey has already extended invites to the likes of Mrs Hinch, Rochelle Humes, Molly-Mae Hague, some of her Loose Women co-hosts and loads more – and has encouraged Joe to invite his celeb pals too. There will also be family and friends, but Stacey wants to add a touch of showbiz sparkle to the event so that she can show her girls when they’re older.
"She’s been spending hours on Pinterest coming up with ideas and is trying to do a lot of it herself, but her friends have begged her to get a party organiser to help and let others do any heavy lifting so she can have some breathing space and just enjoy the event.”
Stacey is no stranger to throwing an epic party. For Rex’s third birthday last year, she hosted a dinosaur-themed party, and when Leighton turned 10, the celebrations were centred on football and completed with a custom Arsenal cake.
The insider adds that Stacey is keen to follow in the footsteps of the Kardashian women – who themselves have hosted sensational celebrations. When Kylie Jenner’s daughter Stormi turned one, the beauty mogul “built” her an entire theme park inspired by Travis Scott’s album Astroworld, which was rounded off with a live performance by Baby Shark.
The source says, “Stacey’s got this idea to have the names written out in balloons just like a Kardashian party, as well as doing lots of cute handmade items to decorate Pickle Cottage with. But she’s being advised to do as little DIY stuff as possible and try to get a professional to help her. Stacey wants an element of home crafts so she won’t alienate her fanbase. She’s keen to show everyone that they can do all these thrifty fun parties at their homes too. There are going to be lots of pink cupcakes, sweetie jars, flower arrangements and some cheeky fizz for the adults.”
Stacey has amassed a huge Instagram following of 5.5m and is never short of a brand deal, with each sponsored post thought to see her pocket £12k.
So the social media star also wants to make an impression online, with the source adding, “She hopes to make it look amazing on her Instagram account but wants to let fans know that it came in at a reasonable price – the last thing she wants is to cause a backlash during the cost-of-living crisis. She wants this to be an event that the family will remember forever, and she’s determined to get it all right and not put a foot wrong.”
