She’s set to give birth to her second child with fiancé Ryan Thomas this spring – recently announcing they are expecting a sister for their two-year-old son, Roman.

But pals say Lucy Mecklenburgh, 30, has been left upset following a dramatic bust-up between Ryan, 37, and his ex, Corrie star Tina O’Brien, 38, who he is said to have accused of smashing up his car with a baseball bat. Although as Closer went to press, neither Tina nor Ryan had confirmed or denied the reports.

Tensions between the exes – who ended their six-year romance on bitter terms just weeks before their now 13-year-old daughter Scarlett’s first birthday in 2009 – reportedly erupted after Tina left a house party to meet Ryan on the street.

Following a heated row, the wing mirror of Ryan’s expensive Range Rover was apparently smashed off and the paint work was scratched, which the dad of two is said to have alleged his former partner was responsible for.

Sarah Jayne Dunn (Hollyoaks)

Sarah recently left her role as Mandy Richardson after Hollyoaks bosses called her in for a meeting about her decision to join X-rated subscription site OnlyFans. She insisted she wasn't going to quit the website, meaning producers gave her the boot. A spokesperson confirmed the news in a statement which read, "Hollyoaks is a youth-facing drama with many young viewers, who follow our cast very closely, both in the soap and outside of it. We take our responsibility to our young audience very seriously and therefore the show does not allow any Hollyoaks cast members to be active on certain 18+ websites."We had hoped we could reach a resolution with Sarah that would allow her to remain in her role as Mandy, but we respect her choice to continue to produce content on OnlyFans. In the past four years since her return to the show her legacy character has been an integral part of some our most important storylines and we will be very sad to see her go."

She later insisted that wasn't the real reason for her exit, telling Digital Spy, "Well do you know what, that's what they say I got 'sacked' for, but I think I fell out with the producer. She let me film my final scenes, all the front-of-head shots, so I'd already signed a contract saying I was leaving. So my final scenes I shot, and then they got an extra in to film the back-of-head shots and they rang up the press and said: 'Oh, we sacked her'. And just got the last bit of mileage out of me PR-wise. It didn't do me any favours at all."Despite the contentious way she left the soap, Davinia got her happy ending in 2016 when she temporarily reprised her role as Cindy Cunningham's sister.

The story broke just hours after Lucy and Ryan celebrated Roman’s birthday – with the former TOWIE star sharing cute snaps of Scarlett playing with her little brother at the star-studded bash with her 1.7 million Instagram followers.

And as the drama between her fiancé and his ex rumbles on, insiders say it’s left Essex-based Lucy feeling nervous about plans to move to Ryan’s native Manchester, where they’ve spent the last year transforming their new pad into their dream family home.

A source says, “Lucy loves their new home and they’ve spent millions renovating it, but she’s sick and tired of all the toxicity and fighting which has been tainting what should be such a happy and exciting time for them.

“With the situation now at boiling point, the thought of being permanently based just a stone’s throw from Tina is creating a huge amount of stress and anxiety for Lucy, and she just wants to be as far away from it all as possible, close to her loved ones who can support her, especially with another baby coming along.

“She should be enjoying the last few weeks of her pregnancy – relishing all the excitement of expecting her little girl and spending quality time with Roman before their family expands. But instead she’s been dragged into the stress and drama which is creating a toxic atmosphere at home, unnecessary anxiety for her –and sparking rows between her and Ryan too.

“Lucy’s told Ryan she wants to stay in Essex so they can create a healthy distance between him and Tina, but Ryan is understandably hesitant given how much time and money they’ve spent creating their dream home, not to mention not wanting to be so far away from Scarlett again.”

Ryan bought the pad last February as a “surprise” for his fiancée, so he could be closer to his daughter, who lives up north with Tina and her husband, Adam Croft, who she wed in 2018 and shares seven-year-old son, Beau, with.

The actor had admitted how travelling back and forth between Essex and Manchester was putting a “strain” on his relationship with the reality star-turned-fitness guru.

And while insiders at the time said Lucy was hesitant about moving so far away from her family, she seems to have had a change of heart – sharing updates of their home’s transformation and glimpses of her new office, workout studio and their daughter’s nursery.

The couple first met when they appeared on Celebrity Island With Bear Grylls in 2017, and got engaged during a romantic trip to Italy in 2019, shortly before welcoming Roman the following March.

Despite Ryan and Tina’s bitter split, the pair were said to be on good terms until recently – with Ryan describing Tina’s husband as “a lovely guy” and Tina echoing his amicable sentiments, adding, “It helps that everyone has moved on and is in a happy place.

“For the sake of Scarlett, it has been well worth preserving [our relationship] and choosing our battles.”

The actress – who still stars as Sarah Platt in the ITV soap where she met Ryan, who played her on-screen boyfriend, in 2003 – is also believed to have had a good relationship with Lucy, with the pair often bonding over their parenting styles. Although in 2018, Ryan and Tina appeared to clash on social media after Scarlett had her nails painted by her mum, with Ryan posting a picture on Instagram of him having it removed the next day. And the day after Lucy announced her first pregnancy, Tina posted, “Don’t always trust what you see on social media. Even salt looks like sugar.”

Now, following the alleged bust-up, sources said the exes are “barely speaking”, adding “this seems to have snapped the fragile thread their relationship was hanging by.”

And as Lucy prepares to give birth to her daughter, pals say she has taken matters into her own hands – serving Ryan an ultimatum to sort things out with Tina if she’s to settle in Manchester.

The source adds, “Lucy has told Ryan she won’t make the move until he clears the air with Tina once and for all – urging him to hire a mediator if need be and hold out an olive branch, for the sake of Scarlett and their whole family.

“Lucy is adamant that she won’t make the sacrifice of leaving her family and friends in Essex and uprooting her life with all this toxic energy around them, and she’s told him in no uncertain terms that unless he sorts things out and ends the fallout with Tina, she’s staying put in Essex.

“Ryan has agreed to do whatever it takes to help smooth over the situation and make things right – even if it means biting his tongue to restore the peace.”
