It's been a couple of months since Carla Connor – played by Alison King – left our screens. Carla left the cobbles after she run over Cathy Matthews and was jilted by her fiancé Nick Tilsley.
The actress previously confirmed that she would not be return to the street and told The Metro: "Because they're leaving the door open, I think people originally called it a break and people are asking 'When are you coming back?' and I'm like 'I'm not'."
Scroll down for Kym's baby news
Alison first joining the show back in December 2006 and told The Daily Express her reason for leaving the show after ten years: "I just want to get out there and try some other things and spend some time with my daughter.
"She's pleased she's going to be seeing a bit more of me – she's really looking forward to it."
We sure do miss seeing her on screen and it seems that we're not the only ones, Kym Marsh (who plays Michelle Connor) has recently revealed that she misses her too. Even though Kym and Alison played sister-in-laws on screen, the duo are close friends outside of work and even shared a dressing room.
Kym recently told Now Magazine that it's different following Alison's exit: "On and off-screen Alison and I have a close relationship so it's very strange and I'm still adjusting."
She added: "I speak to her regularly and I miss her."
Although she has reassured everyone that she still has a lot of fun with her co-stars especially Antony Cotton (who plays Sean Tulley) she told the magazine: "We always end up out in Manchester at a ridiculous time in the morning, watching the sun come up."
Michelle Connor will be pregnant!
It has also recently been revealed that Kym's character Michelle will fall pregnant. Michelle and Steve will try to have a baby after she becomes broody but as this is Coronation Street there's going to be a shock.
A show source told The Mirror that the pregnancy will have a big repercussion in the Street. They added: "There are huge storyline built around the birth of the two new babies in the soap.
"As always it is not going to be all plain sailing. It's going to be another huge storyline for Kym."
We are very excited.
