Fed up with being painted in a negative light, Katie Price vows to try to 'expose' ex husband Peter Andre to get payback

She recently went on an epic rant, slamming ex-husband Peter Andre for using their kids as an “emotional weapon” in a series of furious Instagram posts, which she later deleted.

In the posts, Katie, 40 – who shares Junior, 13, and 11-year-old Princess with Pete, 46 – branded him “cruel” and slammed him for being a “hypocrite”.

One read, “A good parent does not take their child’s rights away out of the anger for the other parent.” In another, she wrote, “You will not have this control any more, wish people knew the real truth. I’ve been wrongly judged for too long now, leave me alone.”

Katie continued to criticise the star in an appearance on Good Morning Britain – accusing Pete of being “selfish” for refusing to allow their children to appear on the latest series of her reality show, My Crazy Life or take part in photo shoots.

Just days later she posted pictures of Junior and Princess modelling clothes from her new childrenswear collection to Instagram – with critics branding it exploitation of her kids.

Now friends say a new war has erupted between Katie and Pete.

A source says, “Katie feels as if she’s been bending over backwards to keep Pete happy for months – ever since her troubled patch began – because of her fears over losing the kids. Trouble has been brewing for a while, but she’s finally snapped and wants to be back in control.

"She doesn’t want to ask when she can see the kids, or have to seek his permission for them to join her at work. She shared those fashion images in defiance to show Pete she won’t be told what to do. She’ll stop at nothing to get payback and is desperate to scare him.”

Katie has a history of making veiled threats. In 2013, she reignited her on/off feud with Kelly Brook, after the model made fun of her rival’s third marriage to Kieran Hayler.

Alluding to their mutual ex-boyfriend, Danny Cipriani, 31, Jordan Tweeted, “I’m sure Kelly wouldn’t be laughing if I said the things Danny Cip said to me about her in the bedroom when I was with him, hahaha.”

Kelly shot down her claims, saying, “No, but I did laugh when he turned up at my house driving your car the next day ;) I don’t think you know anything.”

But pals say deluded Katie refuses to learn from the past and is stopping at nothing to get revenge on Pete.

The source says, “Her online rant about wishing that ‘people knew the truth’ clearly alludes to a difficult situation between them. It was seemingly a thinly disguised dig at Pete, who Katie feels should just be more upfront about their family set-up.

“The kids are spending more and more time at Katie’s, but she’s still furious at how Pete has the power to just take them from her if it seems she’s misbehaved. The fact he’s banned them from appearing on her show pushed her to the brink and she’s making all sorts of empty threats, telling pals she’s not afraid to tell him to come clean about them or even that she’ll try to ruin his marriage if she doesn’t get her own way.

"She gets a buzz from the drama and the idea that people could believe she’s got something to expose when, in reality, there’s nothing to reveal.

“Pete got wind of this through pals and has laughed it off, he knows it’s all empty threats. His marriage [to Emily MacDonagh] is rock-solid and he’s the best dad he can be. Although he is worried that she’ll create more drama and upset for the children by being dragged into it.”
