Made in Chelsea OG Jamie Laing surprised us all over Christmas by officially renouncing his ‘lothario’ title and proposing to long-term girlfriend Sophie Habboo. Now, the reality star has opened up about the moment he popped the question and hearing about how romantic the proposal actually was has made us realise just how far he’s come.
Whilst recording the latest episode of 6 Degrees, his podcast with Spencer Matthews, Jamie spoke about the experience and how nervous he was before the special moment.
He explained, “We had our first ever date, pretty much, in the Rosewood Hotel and then I said to her I was filming something for my business in there, so we had to go and do that and she could meet me afterwards because they gave us the room. So she was like, ‘Ok, fine, fantastic. That’s fine. I can meet you there.’
“So I went there in the middle of the day, about one o’clock in the afternoon. I got balloons, I got candles, I got flowers, I got everything. She was like, ‘Oh I’m stuck in traffic.’ I was like, ‘Oh my God.’ I had lit so many candles, the room was roasting. It was so hot. Then I was like ‘I’ve got to turn the air con on.’ So I turn the air con on and the balloons just fly everywhere because the air con blows them all over and I was like, ‘Oh God, this is death.’"

Made in Chelsea Rich List
10. Sophie Hermann
Her stint on Celebs Go Dating and incredible fashion sense have meant that Sophie has just scraped into the top ten making £1,975 per post.
9. Oliver Proudlock
Ollie's Instagram feed is not great for scrolling through if you're single since every other picture is a snap of him looked loved up with his wife Emma. However, if you are single we reckon it couldn't hurt to have a scroll through his topless pics which he makes around £2,393 for. Don't say we never give you anything.
8. Spencer Matthews
Spencer seems to have it all: two adorable kids, the lovely Vogue as his wife and numerous business ventures and podcasts so it's a little surprising that he doesn't earn as much as some of his cast members on Instagram. Having said that, his £2,559 per post is probably just pennies to him.
7. Stephanie Pratt
If this list had been made in the late noughties when The Hills was in its heyday, Stephanie would surely have nabbed a much higher spot on this list. As it stands she currently makes £2,799 per post which isn't to be sniffed at.
6. Lucy Watson
Lucy's very chic Instagram feed mean that she's earning £2,884 per post. Not bad.
5. Louise Thompson
Louise currently makes £2,902 per Instagram post but we reckon that we she's gives birth to an obviously genetically blessed little one that her sponsorships will increase.
4. Sam Thompson
If this was a TikTok rich list, Sam would surely be number one but fourth place, earning a solid £3,177 per post on Instagram, isn't a bad spot to be in.
3. Millie Mackintosh
Millie Mackintosh's Instagram feed nicely showcases her domestic bliss without making us feel too jealous about it so it's no wonder she's so high up on this list. Making £3,289 per post, no wonder she's got so many glam outfits.
2. Binky Felstead
The soon-to-be mother-of-two comes in at number two for her Instagram earnings with a supposed £3,470 per post. We reckon, if the new baby's as adorable as India, then Binky's earnings may soon put her in the number one spot.
1. Georgia Toffolo
Not only is Toff the Queen of the Jungle after winning the 17th series of I'm a Celeb, she's also the highest earner on Instagram making around £4,184 per post.

Thankfully, it all turned out alright in the end as he continued, “Then finally she arrives at the hotel, knocks on the door. She came in straight away and realised straight away what was happening. She then walks into the room, I’m standing there.
“To all you listeners right now, there is nothing quite like that moment when you get down on one knee and you say those words, ‘Will you marry me?’ I thought it was like in a movie. I was freaking out.”

During the episode, Spencer also spoke about his proposal to now-wife Vogue Williams saying, “It was terrifying. I took her to the Lyceum to see The Lion King because it’s my favourite Disney film. Not hers, mine. I realised later, this was like what I would want to happen to me and not her. She doesn’t care about The Lion King at all. It’s probably not even in her top five.
"But I went there anyway, and I’d called ahead, and I’d said, ‘Could we possibly get engaged on stage at the end?’ So in front of like an auditorium full of people and they were just like, ‘Err, we can look into it. We can’t change the show obviously.’ And I was like, ‘Ah that’s disappointing.’ It being Disney and all. But unfortunately, that wasn’t to be so we had a private tour instead.
"So we went backstage and there was like Simba, Mufasa and Nala and Scar just kind of stood there and I was like, ‘Ok, this is going to be weird, isn’t it?’ and I just kind of dropped down to one knee in front of a pride of lions and I proposed to her and I think she was quite, a little bit uncomfortable. Then we took some photos with them, and then we went home and that was kind of it.”
We’re sure it was much more romantic than you’re making out, Spencer…
