There was a time when Jamie Laing was Made In Chelsea’s leading Lothario, but the posh hunk has been blissfully happy with his co-star Sophie Habboo for over two years.

And Sophie, 28, now tells Closer she’s looking forward to a romantic Christmas with Jamie, 32, and that both of their families are aligning their ski trips, if Covid travel restrictions allow it.

She says, “I can’t wait for Christmas. If it goes ahead, then it’ll be extra special because of last year’s lockdown. Hopefully I’ve got a fun Christmas ahead, because I’m planning to go skiing with my family, and Jamie is going to the same place, so we can meet up. It’s the best of both worlds.”

Sophie has previously dated some of her other MIC co-stars, including Alex Mytton and Sam Thompson. Meanwhile, Jamie has dated Binky Felstead, Lucy Watson and Louise Thompson, but has been dating “Habbs” since 2019.

The pair moved in together last year, and even defied the Strictly curse around the same time when Jamie starred on it, reaching the final with partner Karen Hauer.

And Sophie says that she feels happier than ever with Jamie, and that she isn’t sure how she cured him of his flirty ways.

The Wednesdays We Drink Wine podcast host says, “Jamie and I are best friends, and I think that initial level of friendship really helps in a relationship. It’s funny when people ask, ‘How did you tame Jamie?’. I honestly think it’s nothing to do with me, it’s all down to timing. Surely at the age of 32, it’s time for him to settle down? I don’t have some secret trick!

“I would love to get married and have babies one day. I think that should be the end goal in any relationship – there’s no point being with them if you can’t see a future. I can’t wait to do ‘couple’ things like go out and about, putting on hats and gloves and seeing the Christmas lights.”

Jamie and Sophie first got together while filming Made In Chelsea in Cape Town in 2019, and the pair were hoping to return to South Africa for New Year’s Eve – but have had to cancel those plans after it was the first place to report infections with the Omicron variant.

“Cape Town is special because it’s where we were filming Made In Chelsea when Jamie first told me he liked me, and we got together. It was the most fun week ever, we got so drunk! I really wanted to go back.”

Sophie’s Instagram followers will know she’s very health conscious, as she regularly shares snaps of her nutritious meals.

But she says she’s going to let her hair down to celebrate New Year’s Eve –which she hopes will be even more special than usual.

“I used to be more of a party girl but these days, I’m pretty healthy. I don’t drink much, but when I do, I go for it and have fun, so I probably will on New Year’s Eve! And who knows… maybe Jamie will propose!”
