Claire Cooper and Emmett J. Scanlan, who met on the set of Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks, welcomed their first child into the world over the weekend, a healthy baby boy!
Emmett, who played Brendan Brady, was the first to announce the couple's lovely news, sharing an adorable photo of his son's tiny hand, telling fans, "It’s a boy."
Claire's post was slighter most descriptive, as she endured 40 hours of labour, followed by an emergency C- section.
The star, known as Jacqui McQueen on the Channel 4 soap, wrote, "After two trips to the hospital, 40 hrs of labour and an emergency C-section our little boy arrived ❤️.
"So grateful to the entire team who supported us in all our choices at #arroweparkhospital before, during an after - it certainly got complicated in moments but then he’s a wee Scanlan how are we surprised? The #NHS team led us consistently with care and kindness and made us feel so safe & protected - thank you.
"Finally a huge thank you to our Doula Jemma @the_hypnobirthing_doula_ who kept us so strong throughout, talked endlessly with me, always giving us the opportunity to discuss all our options and being the support we so needed 🙏☺️❤️
"Now I must go pinch myself - we made a tiny human ☺️ @scandalous_13."

Later as the celebrations are going on, they're interrupted by Walter… Scott begins to doubt whether he and Mitchell will ever be a real couple – he then decides to tell Walter about the wedding.

Jorgie Porter added, "This is wonderful so happy for u both x," with Jessica Fox (Nancy Hayton) adding, "Massive congratulations - I am so happy for you xxx."

Despite announcing the birth of their baby boy, Claire and Emmett are yet to confirm their son's name.
Meanwhile, whilst Claire and Emmett enjoy time with their son, the Irish actor is set to star alongside Normal People actor Paul Mescal in Channel 5 drama The Deceived.
