In news that will chill the bones of every mum Frankie Bridge has revealed she had to rush her son to hospital after he was “struggling to breathe”.

Frankie’s son Parker suffers from a childhood condition called croup which affects the windpipe and causes coughing and difficulty to breathe. Frankie detailed the hospital trip with her followers as she described herself as “one very tired emotionally drained mummy”.

“Was in a&e last night with this little guy... with yet another croup attack...” she wrote. “Doesn't matter how many times it happens... to see someone grasping for air is always terrifying.

“Breaks my heart. But he's absolutely fine now... all just very sleepy..”.

Frankie is mum to Parker, six and Carter, five, with former footballer Wayne Bridge and has opened up in the past about Parker’s worrying condition.

And back in 2016 she opened up exclusively to Closer about being a mum to two boys, she said, “I'm still learning all the time. I think it just comes with time. The age gap is quite small for my two, but it seems so big because ones a real baby and the other one is a toddler.

“Carter's starting to walk and he's starting to talk a little bit so it seems like the gap is closing … And I do think it's true what people say, it's really hard for the first six months and then it gets a bit easier. I think just be patient and wait.”
