The former Love Island star opens up about Curtis, trolling and life after the show
Amy Hart won the hearts of the nation this summer when she had her first proper relationship – and subsequent break-up – on camera during Love Island.
Her former “half-boyfriend” Curtis Pritchard brutally dumped her after a short stay in Casa Amor (the villa designed to test the Islanders’ loyalties).
Making the decision to leave the show shortly after, Amy’s heartfelt leaving speech will go down in reality TV history as the ultimate tear-jerker, as she told Curtis, “All I’ve ever wanted is for you to be happy. And you’re not going to be able to be happy if I’m still here.”

Bombshell Tyler was pretty keen on Kaz... Until Casa Amor. His head did a complete 180 when he met Clarisse. But when he returned to the villa, Tyler did a complete U-turn and got back with Kaz. Poor Clarisse and Matthew (who Kaz was coupled up with) were then left single.
If that wasn’t enough heartache for former air hostess Amy, 27, she had to watch her friend and co-star, Maura Higgins, get with her ex.
Reflecting on the immediate aftermath, Amy says, “I had my heart put in a blender. I used to get into bed at lunchtime and cry my eyes out... I wouldn’t have been in a fit state to have met anyone.”
Despite everything, she’s remarkably positive about her ex’s new relationship. “They obviously make each other very happy, so I’m happy for them,” Amy says.
“As I said in the villa before I left, I want him to be happy. He’s a good guy. I think we all went through that weird experience together, and nobody else will ever know what it was like to be in that villa, so if we can’t take friendships from that, what’s the point?”

Two months after leaving the villa, Amy turned a corner and is a regular on the showbiz circuit. More recently, she has been linked to radio presenter Toby Anstis, 48, but she’s keen to play things down.
She says, “Toby and I – it was just a friends’ night out. I went on to his radio show as a last-minute guest, so we went to see The Lion King. At the minute, I don’t have time to see my own nan, so I don’t have time for a boy.”

One of Amy’s biggest tests since Love Island has been the ongoing trolling about her looks, and she has been trolled “really badly” about the breast implants she had aged 20 and her veneers.
She says, “It’s really strange, because I get trolled by people saying I get lip fillers when I haven’t had them. And then you get people saying you need this and you need that, you’ve had this and you’ve had that – it’s awful.
Trolling is a big thing, and I’m going into schools to speak about it. Most of my trolling comes from young kids – it’s such a horrendous thing.”
But that won’t stop her pursuing her dream of a career in the spotlight, and she now has her sights set on doing I’m A Celeb. She reveals, “I know there are lots of articles saying I’m going in... I’d love to. Although I say that, but probably not – I’d probably hate it!
